It's certainly a good week for those who have a few extra Wii points and blocks of memory on their systems, as this week's releases are dominated by games of the downloadable variety. Not to neglect the retail releases as Wii owners now have the chance to experience Sam & Max: Season One; all 6 episodes of it.

Retail Releases
The 12-and-under-girls demographic certainly has a lot to look forward to this week (see: Boogie, Bratz, Pet Shop), but we get the feeling that many of you would be most interested in the game with the anthropomorphic talking dog and rabbit. (All release dates are Oct. 14)
  • Sam and Max Season One
  • Safecracker
  • Boogie Superstar
  • Ten Pin Alley 2
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender: Into the Inferno
  • Bratz: Girls Really Rock
  • Littlest Pet Shop
  • Dokapon Kingdom
  • Penny Racers Party: Turbo Q Speedway

Virtual Console (North America)

People often complain about the stagnant state of Virtual Console releases but this week we've got a good one for you. Well, good in the sense that they're good games but I'm not too sure that people will be jumping for joy at the fourth version of Street Fighter II to hit the VC (Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, and Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers all on SNES). At least the Secret of Mana series makes its debut this week.
  • Secret of Mana (SNES - 800 points - 33 blocks)
  • Super Street Fighter II: Special Championship Edition (Genesis - 800 points - 32 blocks)
WiiWare (North America)
World of Goo sees the light of day on WiiWare today and could it finally be the game that draws our attention away from Mega Man 9? If you have 1500 points lying around it is definitely worth taking a look at. And that's not all, as another entry in the Art Style series arrives this week, hot on the heels of the well received Art Style: Orbient.
  • World of Goo (1500 points - 321 blocks)
  • Art Style: CUBELLO (600 points - 47 blocks)

Note: All dates are subject to change and may not remain the same as listed. Check with your local retailers to confirm dates.
Much love for you<3

I'd hit secret of mana, great music and great combat. Real time fights not turn based but has all the stats a rpg whore would drool over.

Long assed name, pretty much what you'd expect, just a port. I'd still rather choose Super Street Fighter II on the snes.

Good wiiware games.
An update on the VC and WW block sizes

WiiWare
World of Goo - 321 blocks
Art Style: CUBELLO - 47 blocks

VC

Street Fighter II’: Special Chapionship Edition - 32 blocks
I refuse to clean my wii again >:U

*spends money on geometry wars*
Lol, Lucky for me I don't have to, so I'll be getting World of Goo sometime in the future. I wonder why this art style is smaller, could it be worse....
How will I be able to afford all this?
Bratz, Boogie, Little Pony... so many AAA titles to buy; so little time...
