we were talking about copywrites in orchestra and i found that if you are useing a picture that say, u got off google, w/o written permission by the artist/picture maker, you can get sues or go to jail for breaking th law (copywrite)

this is not a joke. i suggest that u get avvies you made yourself, or get written permission by the artist. unless you KNOW thats the people say the avvie/picture is ok to use (EX. one from an avvie website, alltho some of those may be violating copywrite laws) DO NOT go on google and get images and paste them for your avvie.

the FBI has been getting stict, and not just useing pictures off the internet, but people have gone to jail for burning CDs for their friends (thats were bought only for ONE person, themselves!), and playing public movies- even in school unless its only a portion for educational purposes.

no one's make'n u change ur avvie, but u ARE violating copywrite laws if you use pictures with out permission.

just a heads up.

you can go HERE to learn more. its easy to read and to understand.

If the picture is on the internet, it's free to use for anything you want aside from selling it. That's the facts Jack.
