i imagine a basketball game on the wii being really difficult to play when u first get it, but when u get used to it, it would be really awesome!:
to shoot, just make a shooting motion with the remotes (how nunchuk up and flick wiimote forward next to nunchuk)
to cross over, just shake the controllers back and forth while gesturing down (kinda making a dribbling motion, but ... well, i really havent figured out how to use motion to do this.)
to pass, just push the controllers out in front of you
i thought of more, but i forgot some of it. i'll post it if i remember
No I personally think it is a dumb idea because I am a couch potato and things like that would make me sweat before I sleep lol
...shame on you
I love playing basketball and haven't had much of a break from it this week. (6 games straight) If they do this right then i'll more then likely buy it.
Basketball FTW!
Nice the controls like that would be pretty neat.
Psst and i remember a magazine saying that the Wii couldnt handle sports game with its lack of buttons. you made an example and some buttons were left. HAHA mag people that i dont remember!
I'm in the wrong business. I'd love to be a game designer, but I'm afraid I couldn't do it. Programming has always been a weak point in my skill set and it would take far too much for me to break into the industry any other way. I have loads of ideas on control schemes, both simple and complicated that could work great for the Wii. I also have game ideas that never have been done I'd love to work on.
Funny thing is, I have thought of quite a few ideas well before anyone else tried them. Sadly, I can't take any credit for thinking of the "revolution" before nintendo, although before they announced it I did actually figure what the revolution (3-d motion controls basically) was going to be. I just didn't know how exactly they were going to implement it. I even drew up some sketches on ideas I had for how to do it. I honestly believe if I had a talented group of programmers/artists, I could build them into a top notch game developer.

W00T, i love b-ball too. I hope they make this game pronto!
I dont get that other guy's laziness, cuz anywaysyou could play on the couch since all WiiSports game I can play them sitting down.
Basketball FTFW!!!!
Yay B-Ball fans! (and players!

)
UPDATE!!! (Read the 1st post) B-ball FTW!!!
I'd say that you'd need the Classic controller for it to be successful. However, I don't really think that basketball is very good for the Wii.

I thought the same for DBZ BT 2, but they perfected it.
I don't know, Respeto. I just think that the moves for the Wiimote (if used like that) would be too complex to program.
I just don't think the Wii is right for ballin'.
i think it'll be sweet. the nunchuck joystick might be used for player movement and passing and wiimote motion for other things.
whats with the vince carter pictures on the original post?
