I heard that LucasArts signed with NextGen Consoles. So many people thought of a Star Wars game, where u can use the wiimote as a light saber.
Personally I think its a great idea.
Yeah, me too. But, it ain't happening. LucasArts already gave it the thumbs down.
First person light saber fights would be sweet. But like the topic title reminded me of, I hope all the games aren't named "Wii This" and "Wii That," the way they did with N64(With 64 after all the game titles)and SNES(With Super before all the titles).
Star Wars Wii is possible, but I wouldn't expect it for awhile. I mean we know that Lucas Arts and Free Radical are working together on creating a game for all next gen consoles (including Wii) so who knows what that is, if we are getting a Star Wars for Wii and if it isn't the game that is being made with Free Radical then it won't be talked about for a while.
They would be stupid not to try it on the wii.
I saw it Nintendo Power, so its true, and besides why wouldn't they make a Star Wars game for the Wii?
A star wars game on the wii is a ***MUST***, and it will probably sell very good. Just imagine swinging that wii-mote as your lightsaber.... /drewl
nope all wrong - in Ngamer magazine theyve confirmed star wars is supporting *all* next gen platforms with games
that probably means that we might get a Star Wars FP Lightsaber game.
I read that Lucasarts showed a lot of interest in the Wii and it's controller. That means very little to be honest, but I would love to play a Star Wars FPS on the Wii. Preferably combined with some Rogue Squadron-esque shoot em up levels.
Everyone knows that a game where you use the Wiimote as a lightsaber is basically going to be, as Kim Jong Il would say:

ex: push forward for force push, pull up for force choke, pull back to pull opponent toward you

But, on topic, yes. It most definitely should be made. Since you can easily use the Wiimote has a lightsaber and blaster. And if only the rumoured "Vader" game was available for the Wii. Too bad. But, when it comes out, the chances are that I will purchase the game, unless it is poorly created, which I doubt, when it comes to the Wii. [/deeply exhales] *phew*

it definitly has potential, hopefully they will take advantage of it. but another idea could be to make a starwars dueling game for the VC. have to players have a lightsaber duel with the wiimotes, that could be cool. maybe...
The thing about lightsaber duels is being able to flip around and do all sorts of crazy maneuvers and the thing we must wonder is would they be able to put those sort of actions into the game.
i can picture this game already.
The speaker would be used for the hum of the lightsaber and the moves would either have to be 1-1 or like in Red Steel! Then it would be the best game ever!
