Full Version: Twilight Princess - Hyrule Will Be Huge

Zelda: Twilight Princess for Nintendo Wii is currently set to include one of the most expansive playing fields ever created, with numerous reports that Nintendo is saying it will take players 45 minutes to make it across one side of Hyrule to the other. We're talking hundreds of square miles here.

It was always widely expected that this upcoming addition to the classic Zelda franchise would be far more colossal that previous versions, though no one could have predicted that the land players roam across on Wii would be quite as enormous as suggested.

Though many years have passed since Zelda: Ocarina Of Time was released, I can still remember the feeling of awe I received as I encountered the Hyrule playing field for the very first time. Let us hope that this latest addition can encompass that same feeling, whilst bringing about a new sense of magnitude.

I just read this like 30 minutes ago XD. I know doesn't it sound freaking awsome?!
And it's 30 minutes on a horse btw.

Hurray for the sub-conscious!! Really Happy

This will be the best Zelda yet. Once I get it, I'll never come out of my room. My room will be dark, I won't take any showers, I will never go to sleep, I won't eat, or go to the bathroom. Unless I really really had to...
Hmm... huge. But is a giant space really that good? Anyone remember getting the Biggoron sword in OoT? =(

Yeah, and this will be much bigger. What I'm wondering is if Hyrule will stay peaceful during the game or at one point become a battleground which will use all of it's size; a la a dungeon.

That sounds like one of the best ideas I have ever heard. <___<

The entire Hyrule field as some sort of battle ground for a huge war? Maybe some sort of Twilight Realm vs. Reality type thing? Awesome.
It would be so cool if the Hyrule Field was used as a battleground between the different peoples (Zoras, Gorons, Khorki {is that how you spell it?} etc.) if these people are even in the game!?

Kokiri was their name. But I wasn't talking about a race war, but Link vs. the Evil.
