Third party versions have been out for some time, but until you can actually chit chat (think pictochat with voice over WiFi) or to talk to non-friends in games, I don't see much use for it.
On the other hand, for $10, I'd buy it.

I like the design. Oddly enough, they kinda look like my current headphones. I said 'kinda' because it doesn't fit "around" the ear.
So, does this mean during matchs? Like in MPH you can't talk when the match is going only after it or before.
I think that you could possibly chat with others before, during, and after matches. But this is only what I think. (You can't trust me...)

I would not use my money on this headset. I am fine just holding the "X" button to talk.
Rumour has it that PKMN Dia/Per will use it better then MPH and Nintendogs. I think it wouldve been great for a game like SFC [if it supported Teams and VoIP]
