Down at the newly opened wii.com in the games section if you click Super Mario Galaxy it states the game will be 1-2 players. Nothing big, but still nice to know. http://wii.nintendo.com/software_supermariogalaxy.html

didn't we here this already, and it was suggested that it would be something to do with puzzle solving help or something...

it was rumored the SMG woulb be 2 players before cause of the picture below, so i think they are implementing co-op mode. it would be cool if they have something like they used to have in the old school 2-D sonic side scrollers where tails can fly sonic to high places

I think it's be cool if he was partenered with Luigi again. Whether it was co-op or versus, in the way that you both try to beat levels faster.

Maybe the second player is the orange thing in space, or possibly, if you look close, it look like there may be someone in the middle of the big red star.

I wouldn't think so. In the videos I saw the orange thing was controlled buy the player with the Wiimote. Having a 3rd party do that for you would really mess things up.
Right now I'm just trying to imagine what SM64 or SMS would've been like with co-op/2 players

Here's my opinion. Player 1 controls Mario, Player two controls the point. Easy as that. Notice how the guy in that picture is only using the pointer.

That would be cool if Luigi got to journey to space, too. I think it's cool for this game to be 2 players, but howis Nintendo going to make that work?

I don't think I'd like a 2 player co-op adventure mode here. At least not in the way that we're predicting it will happen.

Well personally I think this is good news considering I originally thought it was going to be one player.

I personally hope Mario and Luigi team up again, we've been teased with the concept... now I want to see it in action in SMG... you hear me Nintendo?

Wait, it might be a two player adventure mode with Mario and Luigi? If so, that would be awesome! I would be Mario and pistons50 would be Luigi, since I am shorter.
