1. BLOGS! I love blogs! Lets off steam, lets the users post their thoughts without restrictions and worries.
2. Flash games? Simple stuff.
3. DS Wi Fi Tournies
4. Donations? Lots of sites recieve donations to make the site more efficent. Any kind of PayPal here?
That is all I can think of.
Numbers two and three sound good to me. However, the flash games do get boring after a while.

As for the wifi tournies, yes, I would love to compete in an mph one and play against joker.

1. Been in development for a while, on hold while we upgrade forum software as it requries full rewrite of everything.
2. Hmmm... I wouldn't know where to begin to make one.
3. Big plans for this one.
4. Considered it, but it doesn't feel professional to me. Although other methods of reducing the cost burden are in the works as well.
Thanks for contributing. I do like how you think!
Well thanks!
Donations arent unprofessional. Other Wii-related sites offer them as well. If members want better stuff ont heir favorite sites... why not help not only by being an active member but by donating.
upgrades cost money and money dont grow on trees.. except in LoZ and Animal Crossing. n.n;
I will consider placing an inconspicous, small donate button somewhere. Money donated would go to developing the site, so it's not inheritently bad.
On a side note, from website creation to now, money spend developing/promoting the site exceeds revenue from banner ads by 50:1. I started this site as a way to contribute to the Wii community, so I'm not looking to make a profit! The most efficent way for me to contribute was monetarily, while others may be better contributing by posting or referring members. D4rk, for instance, has been invaluable in designing and coding, while Cloud is quite possibly one of the most active posters of any Wii community.
Being active in discussions and referring members are two of the most valuable ways to contribute!
I agree with that! Member activeness is the best and most valuble of all things. I like that thinking thats whythins community will go far and last long!
I agree with z6. Activity on a site creates interest from visitors. I do think a button for donations would be a good thing. We really do want WiiLoaded to become #1! Also a new member referral competition would be something to think about. The most referrals per month gets a special rank or recognition on the news portal page or...........you get the idea.
Anyone have an opinion on this?
2. Flash games? Simple stuff.
Back on theWiiForums.com (before it was hacked) there used to be a games section, like an arcade, where only registered member could play and then your score was added to the high score list. If you wind up being in first place for that game then you little "section" which is next to every post would have a small bar under your avatar saying something like "Breakout Champion", "Tetris Champion", "Snake Champion" etc. Expcept the games were written in Java.
Well thats what I was kind of talking about. An arcade! Helps pass the time.
I've written a few scoreboard flash games before
time is a little thin atm though
What about other development? Should there be announcements on progress?
Yeah, we want to be kept informed on the developement of new projects on WiiLoaded!!!!
I guess that could all be discussed in Website Discussion.
Because its been hinted at that there would be big changes to the site as the Wii launch drew closer.
Tournies are cool!
