Via its online assets server, Ubisoft publicly made available a 2 gigabyte file today, containing media revealing, amongst other things, unannounced games.
The confidential details, screenshots, artwork and video footage confirmed the development of a new Prince of Persia game, Splinter Cell (5) Conviction, as well as FarCry and Rocky for Sony's PSP.
Ubisoft has released an official statement, which reads as follows:

The publication of this type of information can only be harmful to the game development process and we will take all steps necessary to prevent this from happening in the future. Media was released for other games, including FarCry Vengeance, Naruto, Lost, Open Season, TMNT GBA, Splinter Cell 4 and Assassins Creed.

This is not the first time such a situation has hit the European software giant, with release lists in the past having been unintentionally made public, containing vital details.
