I hope it isn't. The GTA series is just a game built for training criminals. It trains you for the corrupt, lewd side of the city, where you kill cops and have sex with floozies. Definitely not what the Wii needs.

I've played GTA. Never hated a game more. It's oh-so repetitive, and needs to be a real game.
This is one of the biggest dissapointments for me since they announced that the Wii remote would use AA batteries.

I'm not a Jack Thompson, ironfist, I'm just saying that the GTA series does nothing for the gamer. Zelda, Mario, and Metroid games have you solve puzzles, and use the player's sense of logic. GTA doesn't do anything. There are no puzzles to solve. Just "shoot the cop and steal cars" action.
how true. I played Vice City and San Andreas. I didnt hate them but they werent all that great. I could really care less if it came to Wii.
You can say that about almost anything.
Zelda teaches you how to shoot an arrow through someone's head.
Mario teaches you that women are defenseless and need a man to save them.
Super Smash Bros teaches you the concept of how beating the crap out of people makes you a winner.
Although I also don't like GTA nor Take-Two, saying GTA is a mindless shoot-em-up is idiotic.
Im not much of a GTA fan myself but if it adds support to the Wii then im up for it. Its not like im going to play it but if it brings in more producers for the Wii then i think its great.But remember Nintendo themselves said that they want to appeal to ALL gamers so this is excpected.

Agreed. It'll bring in the GTA fans who just maybe arent willing to dish out $600 for a PS3 and there will be people who already have Wiis that will jump at the chance to get the first GTA on a Nintendo system.
You have to remember most ppl here are hardcore gamers. Games like GTA, True Crime, and Saint's Row are more for casual gamers who when they have time to kill just want to pick up a game and just play w/o having to worry about following a strict guideline or schedule.

GTA on the Wii would suck in plenty of those causal GTA players to the Wii's audience... but it won't affect me. GTA is boring game, which essentially feels the same each time I play it... from GTA3 to Vice City to San Andreas.

Even if they DID port GTA to the Wii, I doubt it would use the Wiimote. More likely is the game using the classic controller.
My concern is this: if game ports DON'T use the Wiimote and it becomes trendy NOT to, you may see a decline in the Wiimote's use (at least by 3rd party publishers).
GTA is not a big deal to me, its always the same crap in GTA. I played it a couple of times but was not as excited as my friends and brother were whenthey played it.

i can't see it happenin to be honest come to wii. it should stick with ps3 and 360 . it will be a quality game all of them have been wicked so far but as NBbowler said at the top its not realy the sort of game that fits in with the whole children/fun kiddy games is it.
but i will defintly be buying it one way or another lol

Yeah, why does everyone assume that GTA is coming simply because Nintendo talked to Take Two? They could develop a new series or more likely bring in the Table Tennis game for use with the remote.
