I've had a rather odd afternoon today. Jack Thompson has been pestering me. Normally he pesters the Florida Bar, videogame publishers and websites that give money to charity because he's to cheap to keep his promises. But today I was the target of his anger. Why should this be so?

Geez, it's like Jack is afraid of any confrontation. He hung up simply because he was getting talked over. Rude perhaps, but not a valid reason to cut off an interview.
I will say though that the talk show hosts had some pretty warped ideas about selling beer and pot to 10 year olds. I agree that M and AO rated games should be kept out of the hands of little kids but I don't see why he needs to go after the companies. And the idea that people were practicing killing people using video games is absurd. Does that mean that I can be a serial killer simply because I know my way around a video game contoller which is nothing but joysticks and buttons. Why doesn't he go after the people who make those light gun arcade games or the ones that use the fake sniper rifles? That seems like it should be a greater concern since the player is actually holding something in the shape of a gun, is aiming it like a gun, and using it like a gun. And the host mentioned the marketplace too much. That's a load of bull.
I agree that maybe laws should be put in place to keep little kids from getting their hands on mature or adult content but imprisonment for violating that is a little very harsh.
This is why I don't like politics or law. I'm not a liberitarian or a conservative. I'm on the fence and can never seem to put myself on one side or the other.
