I'm getting Diamond... when we eventually see the English version hit out shores.
Im not sure which I want, I want to get the Opposite of my cousin he wanted Pearl but now he wants Diamond because I want it we will see what will happen >_>
I want whitchever has the cooler pokemon.
It looks pretty good, but I am debating wheter to get it or not. I quit Pokemon a long time ago and I don't really want to get back into it.
no offence but this game looks like the same old **** from pokemon games i couldnt imagine one way this game could be extremly different then the others
Any idea what those starting Pokemon are named?

A firey monkey, a grassy turtle, and a watery bird? Those don't exactly look like the types they are. Oh well. I like the turtle with the leaf on its head. Big Grin
I honestly can not wait to get my hands on this one. Ruby and Saph werent cool like Gold and Silver or even Crystal
I'll be buying it, just because its on DS and I think it will be more interesting with the touch screen involved. If it isn't better than Ruby or Sapphire then it will flop, so they really have to try harder with these games... and so far it looks like they have.
So far there are no new types annouced, there are some interesting new combos though, which you'll have to look up for yourself Toungue but these games are sounding VERY promising. Which makes me very happy. Pokemon used to be so good, but then with the inclusion of too many new Pokemon and not enough old ones it became sell-outish but now, it seems they are making two amazing games.
i'm getting both to get the exclusive both on the pearl version, also to get all the starters and then sell the pearl one and keep the diamond version
I'm getting this strange feeling that these games MAY in fact equal Blue/Red in terms of genuine fun. I mean, Pokemon may be getting old... but add a touch screen and anything is possible.
theres no way that this game is anything like the others. click on the link below. these guys bought the japanense version and is playing the game and posting what thet find.

I know its new and I've been reading the "Discoveries" thread. But since its Pokemon the basic structure is there.

Anyway... the touch screen will take it to a new level of gameplay... I reckon we'll see an English release late 06-early 07.
I almost made a new thread about this but then I remember.. el.em.ex (if I spelt it right Cool)

The DS has a new fastest selling game, and not surprisingly, it begins with a Poke. Pokemon Diamond & Pearl sold 1,586,360 units in its first four days of sales over in Japan, sales tracker Enterbrain reported today. This demolishes the previous record holder, New Super Mario Bros., which managed 865,024 units in its first week.

In case there was any concern about Pokemon's popularity being on the wane, here's another stat for you. Enterbrain's sales figures make Diamond & Pearl the fastest selling Pokemon title ever, topping Gold & Silver, which sold 1,425,768 units in its first week in 1999.

A separate sales tracking service, Media Create, has provided stats on the individual versions of the game. Diamond was apparently the more popular of the two, with 813,237 units sold, compared to Pearl's 762,029 units. The total doesn't match the Enterbrain figure, but this is usual for the different sales tracking data.

Diamond & Pearl will hit American in 2007, and is expected to see similar success at retail.

There are to many pokemon fans... So I will have to be getting this game to not look like a outcast Toungue

*gasp* Its fake Toungue
Lol, you know, I wouldn't have been surprised if that Pikachu DSLite was real... it seems like a Nintenod thing to do.
