There was going to be an FFVII remake for the PS3 they showed a Tech Demo i think on E3 2005 then they confirmed that they will make it now there saying there not going to anymore and work more on FFXIII and FF Vs XIII

It's actually not confirmed whether or not that Sqaure-Enix is developing a remake. They currently have several portions of the game remade but an entire redevelopment with added voice-overs is something they're not sure of committing to.

I think well see a remake but probally not this generation. Considering how successful ff7 was.

They were planning on remaking VII,VIII, and IX but after the bomb of the Final Fantasy movie they released in theaters they lost a lot of money and scrapped the idea... Now recently they showed this tech demo as Poet said and there is still no word on if there will be a remake of 7 or not.. just rumors as of now.

I wish for a remake of FF8 with full voices. One can dream.

Definately. I'd love a full 3d remake of FFVI, along with remakes of FFVII and FFVIII.

I would love a FFXIII and FFXI and FFVI they can get the people who did the voices in KH2 for it but some people may get mad if the voice acting is bad but mi mad that they may only make a FFVII remake I would like FFVIII and FFIX and FFVI

No confirmation yet. We will inevitably see a remake I believe, it is an amazing game (My favourite also) and popular all over the world.

The FF for Wii is another Crystal Chronicles game (Am intriguied to see more of it)

But I think we might see a FF-VII remake maybe in the middle of the PS3 lifespan or maybe on PS4... who knows though. I think the tell-tale sign will be how successful FF-XII, XIII, Versus XIII and Agito XIII are.

An FFVII remake seems highly unlikely to me, even though ffvii was really popular.

Sure they probably have different groups working on them but thats STILL a pretty full plate.

I would predict a FF-VII remake either late PS3 or early PS4 (If we see one at all, it would take alot of work... but it would be worth it)

I agree. Possibly a few more spin offs, but no full remake.

Well I read that it was said in the SE 2006 Press Conference that FF-VII would be around for two decades and since 10 years has just passed that means we have another 10 years of FF-VII stuff to come.

Hm, a FF7 Remake... It could totally ruin the game, is it just me or have all the recent squareenix games lacked a bit in storyline.

that could kill the the whole series as FF7 is a very well tested game and any remake would be heavily scrutinised (sp). I'd have to check my sources but i think that some of the major forces in the playstaytion Final Fantasy games have left to persue other companies, even the dreaded EA (square must have really pissed them off to do that :S).

Only there new games are making some bad ones but the olds (FF 1-10) are the greatest games made O_O

pretty much the time they assimilated enix...

DAMN THOSE GAME COMPANIES THAT HAVE NAMES BEGINNING WITH 'E'
