but then you couldnt expand the moveset. at least on the classic controller you have a Z1 and Z2 button. and it wouldnt that hard to make a second controller map option cause they do it in many games already and plus the classic controller buttons are all placed in the same general area as the GC controller

Yes, they've done multiple button maps before, but for three different controllers? I think not. Some people want the GC controller, some want the Wii-mote, and others want the classic controller. You'd have to have multiple button maps for each controller, and then even more button maps to add variety to each controller, so we're talking at least 3 different button maps for all of them, and 3x3 = 9. How many games have 9 different button maps? Now, you COULD use the classic controller for SSB. There ya go.

i already said i wouldnt want the use the wii-mote. only the classic controller. and making a button map isnt theat hard. and plus if theres a more than expected controller map, than so what.
If it used the classic control and mapped out extra moves on those extra buttons you were talking about how would that work on the GCN control??

You don't get it... You want the classic remote. Other people want the Wii-mote. You think you're going to get what you want, and other people don't get squat? Try again. Also, have you ever configured buttons to a controller, or are you just assuming that it's easy? They have to assign buttons according to what they think the majority would like. Could you do that? Assign buttons to a controller that the entire world would like? If you can, great. Look into the gaming business, they'd love you. If not then, Sshhh...

Also LM brings up a good point. Are you saying that people who play with the classic controller would have an advantage because they have an extra button? Or would it be a second block button which would be pretty useless. =\

I don't like debating much, but it's what I do. It helps me gather facts quicker and easier, so I can report them to you guys quicker without mistakes. =)

nevermind. just forget it.
You ended the fun. =(

Sakurai releasing barely anything turned into a 60+ post topic. Go Sakurai!

the thread is now dead, since we already talked about it.

Its because this thread can now turn into speculation lol.
What are we speculating? Let's guess some possible future character's and rate their chances. <_<
char.s from pokemon would be blaziken and lucario
from mario, waluigi, daisy, koopa/paratroopa(as a team)
sonic, tails
Gogo Megaman! Even though he doesn't have much of a chance...
Any one is good... Probably the Legends, or the X version.
i'd want the recent one that just came out on the DS.
ZX?
yea, i think it would be really cool cause then theres a boy and girl version, and plus they can do all the suit changing or what ever its called
Megaman is one of the most perfect people I see fitting into SSBB. All of (or most of) his games are side-scrollers and some are even 3D side-scrollers, which is what SSBB is. A 3D side-scrolling fighting game.

hopefully in Brawl in becomes more than that.

That would completely destroy the entire game.
what are you talking? it was a general statement. i wasnt talking anything in particular, so how can you say that would destroy the game.
