Anyone else giving up WoW for the Wii? I know I definately am.
Is that game really that addicting? I hear alot about it, but have never played it.
I'm like you joker, I've heard about it but never been brave enough to try it. I have heard its pretty life consuming, primarily why I haven't strayed into its world yet.
It can get pretty addicting, especially if you're one of the hardcore players that have to see and beat everything. Fortunately, I never got to the point of raiding in the game, so I think that helped a lot. I know that many gamers that used to play a ton of games now only play WoW and haven't played any recent games due to the addicting nature of the game.
WoW? what's that?.... Wii win!
WoW sucks.. I played it for 1.5 weeks and quit.

WoW = World of Warcraft.

But uhh... Yeah, I heard it's addicting and I watch videos and stuff but I don't see how people could get hooked. I guess I'll just have to play and find out.

oh I saw that game in my bros' room! I just never knew the name lol
I wanted to buy WoW, but i didnt want to pay to play it Sad
I gave up WoW a long time ago.
WoW is worse than any drug you can find. Most addicting thing in the world. One reason is because you are basically having the best time of your life and just dont see a reason to do anything else (what happened to me once i was into it) Ever since i bought the game (when it came out) i couldn't stop playing. The game even gets 100 times more addicting once you start raiding (like i did). I played about 75Days (yes, days, meaning 75*24=1800 hours) Which surpases the amount of play tiime of any game i have ever played by a million. I quit the game around june because it was taking over my life.
Now there are more WoW subsribers than xbox 360s sold, so WoW should count as a separate competitor, specially since burning crusade is coming out.

YEah, I might subscribe with my acct again to play BC.

Wow... I never knew that it took a hold of people's lives like that... Maybe I should try it.
I haven't played the game, either, but I've heard a lot about it, though.

Maybe we should rename it "Wii of Warcraft", or maybe "World of Wiicraft". Big Grin
i cant go anywhere around my school w/out hearing about WoW...can sumone tell me y it is so special? And is it worth the $15 a month or wutever it is
I played in the original beta for WOW way back in the day and stopped shortly after the retail release. I then got back into it for the Burning Crusade beta, giving my beta key to a friend of mine who plays in exchange for temporary use of his high level characters to test with.

It's fun, but I don't find it that addicting. But then again I've never really gotten the point of MMORPGs because well, there is absolutely no RPing involved in MMORPGs. I don't consider fetch quests and kill quests to be any form of RPing due to your only interaction quest wise being with NPCs and the like.

Now, raiding is fun for awhile, but even that gets old. But again, I'm not a big fan of MMOs and even less so when they cost me to play on top of the hefty software fee to begin with. Which is usually why I try to find free servers that are only like a patch or two behind. Right now I'm playing on a Lineage 2 server and a RF Online server that are free.

But, I can see how it could affect someone's life. I hear about it at work all the time. Horde this, alliance that, QQ newb, etc. Personally I think some people in this world need to turn off their computers and step outside every now and then. And while I'm not much better then some of those people, granted, I can at least state honestly that I have friends who are involved in a game... But that's just me...
I never played a WoW Because my comp sucks so much imagine getting really far then the comp freezes on you thats why I never played ANY PC game.

How can you say wow is more accticting than any drug you can find? I've played WoW on and off since Sept 05, i stoped playing in January or a month or two, quit playing again from june til sept, now i stoped playing again cuz i knew i wouldn't be playing it cuz i gotta wii.... now if your comparing this to a drug i "quit" cold turkey.... try doing heroin (or something like that) and quitting cold turkey, then lemme know if quitting wow was worse. for some reason i think you'll have a harder time with heroin. i hate when people say that wow is worse than drugs, i stop playing cuz sometimes the game just gets boring at certain points i feel like im doing the same quests over and over. and i stop playing with no problem. but after not playing for months the game will be fun again for awhile, so ill pick it up again... like like any other game. but anyways, to answer the orginal post, yes i think im gonna stop playing WoW for a while to play Wii Big Grin

WoW is not all that, I played for about 3 hours total in a month now.
Something about killing giant rats or whatever for three days straight so you can get to level 62 doesn't really excite me. Call me crazy...
