Rare was actually BOUGHT by Microsoft so it won't be making anything for Wii anytime soon, if ever.
Before in my opinionPh43r M3h
Before! It's a shame that Banjo-Kazooie 3 is going to the Xbox 360...
They were better before they went to Microsoft... but whats done is done.
whats this have to do with SSBB?

thats my question, and ever since nintendo lost Rare, there hasnt been a decent DK game. DK Jungle Beat was barely half decent

Logical question, we need one of the admin or super mods to show this post the door... to its rightful section.

but until lets discuss...

like i said the only good DK games are the re-makes on the GBA.
Thread moved to General Gaming.

However Rare owns DK, how is DK in Nintendo games--Licensing fees?
Diddy Kong Racing DS coming soonReally HappyAnother DK game is being made for Wii hopefully it'll be good, if not there is still DK64 on VC.
I say it was much better before it was bought by Microsoft. Goldeneye 007 and Perfect Dark we2re awesome, along with Diddy Kong Racing and Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet.

I believe Rare tried to take DK with them when they left but Nintendo didn't let them? I can't remember exactly, but Nintendo kept the DK rights I think... unless they really are paying for every appearence... which has been alot lately, mainly DK and Diddy.

Nah, Nintendo created Donkey Kong, remember? They got him in that game throwing barrels at some no-name named Jumpman.

Nintendo owns DK, I think. Rare just helped make the games from DKC on.

Yeah, but Diddy Kong came into DKC... so does that mean Rare own Diddy? And that Nintendo is paying royalties to use him? I think when Rare left Nintendo kept all DK rights and left Rare with Perfect Dark, Conker, Banjo-Kazooie and Jet Force Gemini.
why couldnt they keep banjo Sad

Banjo was such an amazing franchise...
I only just found out Banjo Kazooie 3 was going to the 360, that sucks, Banjo was an awesome game, and DK 64 was really good as well, bloody microsoft
Hey, Nintendo could have made a better effort to keep them, but I suppose they saw no reason to.
Does this mean we won't be able to download games like banjo kazooie, tooie and DK 64 on the virtual console?
