Its always nice to try, I tried the same with my cousin... he stole my characters lol, damn him.

THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED WITH MY FRIEND. I face him. Win. Rinse. Lather. Repeat about 30 times. Come back Next week and all he uses is Marth. What the heck? So I use Falco and win, then he uses Falco... Some people need to learn to pick the character you're most comfortable with.

Good players do that, others play which ever character is strongest. Its good to have a broad range but just stealing characters is lame. I play Roy and there are alot of n00bs that do.... but very few of them can use his true power... and the best way to tell a n00b from a pro is this statement.
n00b Wrote:
Roy is so much better than Marth.
If someone says that, get ready to disregard every word they say.
In fact I bet if voice chat is enabled while playing Smash online you'll hear it alot, because you can be guranteed that lotsa n00bies will be out there.

It's funny. They see fire and say "Wow he's better, Marth is just plain". Heck when I first played that's how I felt!

Indeed, I was the same, it wasn't why I initially chose him, that was because he looked cooler than Marth... and he does, he doesn't look so girly lol. But Marth is stronger. But I don't want to go online and see hundreds of people using Marth because they can spam forward smash to kill people... thats disgusting.

That forward smash owns everything. I was Falco once, and ran up trying to do a forward smash (Whirlwind kick or w/e) and my friend hits a forward smash with Marth... they didn't even cancel eachother out. I was just flying.

Mmm... Marth's fsmash has HIGH priority... but nothing is worse than Link's fair, unbelievable priority, beats almost any attack.
11-04-2006, 02:20 AM
Wow... If there's a single move that I could pick out and hate with a passion... it'd be that one. I hate when people spam it also..
11-04-2006, 02:42 AM
That and Link's nair are horrible ordered in priority... actually nair would be worse, so many times I've attacked at the same time and been knocked back by the "sex kick" as its called on SmashBoards.
11-04-2006, 06:32 AM
me like samus' "sex kick"
11-04-2006, 06:33 AM
Its not as crazy as Link's... I'm not sure why but that thing outclasses most nair attacks... damn you Link lol.

samus, as my friend says, has those "gymnastic legs"

11-04-2006, 06:36 AM
We'll see how much Samus' "gymnastic legs" save her online. I would enjoy facing Wes, apparently he practically invented the pro Samus lol.

there's just a few things i cant do in SSBM. doing samus' SWD is one of them
11-04-2006, 06:47 AM
I haven't actually attempted the SWD... I'm not that big of a Samus player, and the Grappling Hook glitch was dropped from the PAL version of the game.
11-04-2006, 06:49 AM
ya, i can do the grappling hook. it doesnt help that much though... just cool, like fox's taunt on corneria in that way that it doesnt do anything important

But its still there. Okay since this is the international fights thing I will post the question here.
Since I am planning to organise games of SSBB every set amount of time, how often should they happen?
Like every week, every two weeks, every three weeks... ect.

i say every two weeks so that gives people time to practice for certain people they'll be facing. not everyone will need to practice that long to win though

Practice makes perfect though, and any training is good training.
