To combat the PS3's larger HD?

I don't know if I'd say this is meant to combat the PS3 hard drive. Since the Xbox 360 uses standard single and dual layer DVDs, that have a capacity of 4.7 GB and 8.5 GB, the PS3 uses Blu Ray media that has a capacity of 25 GB and 50GB. So Microsoft just wants to give their gamers a lot more room to download content and game demos. The PS3 crowd might be wondering if a 60 GB hard drive will be enough with the capacity of their media
No combat here...Microsoft just gave their gamers more bang for their buck.

Yeah, the 360 hard-drive fills fast with downloaded demos. Normally I could only have 14-15 demos at once.

Hopefully they'll be a external HD hack for the PS3, cause the people buying those gonna need a lot more HD room.
