Games are getting easier - much easier than the days of NES games, which took quite a while to complete. Now games take what 6 hours to complete.
Are you not afraid at all that the wii is only going to make the games EVEN EASIER just to attract "non-gamers".
is 10 hours of fun worth ?35? (or whatever the price is in America)
I mean now days i still go back to some GREAT game on the NES and SNES. Even N64 games dont gather too much dust. its only the??PS2 games that get that. They have no replay value. I guess what im saying is GC games only about 4 that i own do i play regularly. i own about 2 PS2 games that i actually play, will wii end up being the same?
i voted"Of course but a few may be terrible" because there is always going to be a 3rd party game that screws everything up

but my biggest fear is that: "Its all gimmicky, soon they wiill run out of ideas and go downhill"
With the aim towards multiplayer and the free online gaming, I would bet a large percentage will have great replay value.
the free online gaming will be a big pull that will help replay value
If developers offer some donwloadable conttent then replay value will be added even more, but facts are that regardless there will be bad titles.
Well just take some of nintendo's best series and throw Wi-Fi into the mix
mario
donkey kong
legend of zelda
metroid
kirby
star fox
pokemon
custom robo
f-zero
mario kart/party/tennis/other sports
paper mario
pikmin
these games were fun without wi-fi on the GC. and i still play them today. with the wii-mote and wi-fi they'll have great wi-fi gaming and replay value.
p.s. i voted for the wrong, can i change my vote.

i bet that the wii will start out realy awsome and will continue to be awesome until it is surpased by newer game consoles in a while. most likely about 5 or 6 years.
5 or 6 years.
7 years. with every generation the consoles are starting to last longer

From what I see there isn't a lot of aiming towards multiplayer. Yeah it's being added, but the Xbox 360 is something that's AIMED at multiplayer, being pretty much it's basis--the XBL community. Whereas the Nintendo Online community doesn't exist yet and would have to wait till next geneartion to actually target their online audience.

Nintendo claims 8 years, Sony says PS3 will last 10 years. I say 5 years because of the rate of our increasing technology.
EDIT: P.S. Why are there so many choices for the poll? lol

we'll have to wait to see

lol. i wondering the same thing. i think thats a record.
a lot will have replay value.
I am hoping for replay value, but we'll have to wait and see... I reckon 8 years might be a bit long for the Wii, dunno if they can keep the unique control system unique for that long with average graphics and still hold public support. But Hell anything is possible I guess.

Everyone should hope for replay value, but be prepared for short-lived titles, as all consoles normally release a lot of short games at launch.
A good example: Luigi's Mansion haha. Man that game was short.

Yeah after postin i realised 2 options were exactly the same, but i "didn't have permission" to edit the poll...
which sucks...

If for some reason you can't change it I can help you.
Well there's not much point now - people have already voted but the last one is pointless...
I think it's safe to say that like most consoles, some games will have replay, and some won't

You speak the cold, logical truth, friend.
