what do u guys think of a new star fox assault-type game where you can use the wiimote to control the guns that u use, and flick it to throw grenades? i just hope they make another assault game so bad! i love that game!
You may be the only person who thinks that game was that good and that you need it that bad. I played it, but it was nothing like the N64 or SNES games. I think Star Fox should stay in his ship...none of this on the ground business. The DS game is more like it should be as far as game play goes. I could have done without the strategy sections in between levels.
Anyways, N64 StarFox game is the best! No doubt.
Agreed, jonathanober. I feel that, although it was a nice touch that you could run around on land, it was a bit excessive. I think that the Starfox team should just stay in the Arwings.
And yes, the N64 version was the best.
I think the Wiimote could be the flight stick: up would make you desend, and down would make you ascend. A simple button press would shoot your lasers.
Star Fox Adventures on the 'cube was pretty sweet. It sucks Rare isnt with Nintedno anymore.

I like the unreleased Star Fox 2 for SNES the best. I really wished they would've released it.

I dont really have a problem with SFA... I thought it was mediocre... coulve been longer... more levels in the ship or tank then on foot. The story was good. the visuals in space.. gorgeous... but i did like the baby teeth pup models of Fox and pretty boy bird of Falco.
I'd love it. I'm a huge Star Fox fan.

Yes. It was never released but there are ways to play it.

There is an IPS patch for it that fixes bugs and removes the debug options, renames the planets to correct titles, and lets you play the game correctly.

I loved star fox adventures and the N64 one, haven't played assault but it seems sort of star wars battlefrontish, that would be good if they did it right but i heard assault wasnt great, but hey, technically they should only improve it, but i guess they might not
SFA had alot of potential, but the controls killed the game for me, but i do think Nintendo could tweak the controls with the wii-mote to make the game work. add in the wi-fi online and you could have a fantastic MMOG featuring everyone's favorite furry fighter pilot
If they made a Star Fox for Wii it should be controlled somewhat like Wing Islands planes are only they could use the nunchuck attachment for the trigger buttons, if needed. It would be a much cooler game that way
