CoD 3 doesnt excite me on the 360. Gears of wars looks like an infinately cooler game. Rainbow6 looks like a nice action game but its no longer a tactical shooter imo.
Ever since raven shield theyved gutted my 2 favorite computer game series, rainbow 6 and ghost recon.(Ghost recon 2 was a joke action game, and Advanced warfare was a step in the right direction but still not as great as the original.... although ghost recon advanced warfare probally shines in multiplayer.)

I did and I think there is more action and less strategy than past titles, but it's still a tactical FPS.

the video makes the action look a little too fast and enemies basically coming out at you in droves. In previous tom clancy games if you were in a situation where they were swarming at you well youde be dead. I do not see much 1 shot deaths, I coulda swarm the "hero" character got hit a few times with no setbacks.
edit: Looks like an awesome game none the less but a little dissapointing to see a franchise dilute itself to appeal to everyone.

It would seem. People that have played the regualr FPS (meaning everyone), might find it awfully different the first time if you havent played a cover-pop type FPS. The MP rocks by the way.

been a while since I used a controller so it took me a few deaths to get aiming precise and get use to the controls/ducking mechanisms. After that it was all night long, the action is fast furious and awesome. I like how it goes from a duck and cover shoot out vs alien soldiers and then it becomes like aliens where your gunning for your life vs swarms of agile critters. Worst part so far was the driving section.. everything else was A+. Rainbow Six wasnt anything special but might be fun for organized groups of players with the mechanisms... still think its lost the true feel of a tom clancy game.

I bought GoW, and will rent CoD3 and Vegas to check them out. I only buy games with good online play, and rent the rest...
