Okay people, okay... lets get some things straight.
With an estimated running time of over three minutes, the new trailer is comprised almost entirely of gameplay. The clips displayed all known characters battling in various environments, including one that resembled Yoshi's Island, and another first clip of Fox in action, battling in a space level. This is the first we've seen of Fox in Brawl, and while he was an expected playable character, it's now confirmed from the trailer.

Technically in SSBB Fox IS a new character as this is the first time we've seen him. And when Sakurai mentioned new characters I think people read too much into it. But hell there is still time for time for such a revelation.
Like I said on the Wii board: there was a revelation coming today. Lets just hope that those guys at Kotaku didn't steer me wrong, or else....

actually, Sakurai did say all the original SSB characters were coming back, so we already knew about Fox. only thing we know is he's same ole Fox and not SF Adventures Fox
Yeah, but we hadn't seen him lol, so he's new to SSBB. And I'm glad its good ol' Fox and not crappy SFA Fox... lord that game stunk.
game could've been horrid, but would've mixed things up nicely for SSBB, unless they're using the chick from SFAd and she uses the staff instead....hmmm

People have suggested Andross, but I see him being really awkward, they'd have to make him a body so they'd probably go into his past and take whatever he looked like there. I just see Wolf being a much easier addition in terms of the SSBB villains.

We already know we've got Metanknight, Pit, Zero Suit Samus (purrrrr), Wario, and Snake, but I wonder who else is going to get in?

Its a guessing game as it currently stands, we don't know any definite new characters at hte moment, and I'm sure Sakurai will keep it that way.
For SSBM they slowly revealed the characters one-by-one on their website just before launch I believe so maybe they'll do the same here?
