Yeah he would be a good Idea. But wit the new list of musicians working on the game the list of 3rd party characters is now even longer. Although Sora is the main character of kingdom Hearts I would rather see Mickey get into the game. Just because he is one of the most recognizable icons in the world. I mean come on . Icon of Gaming- Mario VS Icon of Walt Disney and Cartoons-Mickey Mouse.

Okay, let's face the facts my gaming n00blets.
Ridley has featured in a large majority of the Metroid games (Metroid, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission). Making him the major villain of the Metroid series.
Secondly, if I have to tell one more person to watch the freakin' SSBM intro video again to see that Ridley ISN'T much bigger than Samus then I'm gonna flip. Seriously, ignorant and inattentive people make me frustrated.
And people who think there is another Metroid character better suited for Smash also need to take time to think.

ive ben looking around nintendo forums and they all have a character suggestion topic, every one of them has the character 'Sonic the Hedgehog'. I myself really would want him to be in this game because I prefare Sonic over Mario, plus, i wanna see Sonic and Mario fight ^_^
so my suggestion is obviously Sonic the Hedgehog. my friend says that he dont have any good moves and that all he can do is spin...well, they can easily make up some moves for him like they did with every other ssb character, I mean c'mon, Mario's only moves was 'Jump on the head to kill' and 'oo yeah fireball suit.' oh and not forgetting the feather cape...but that was it. Sonic ont he other hand hasw a nice set already, he's super fast for a start, he can charge up a spin = quick tap -> or <- and hit A.
he can dive spin and/or pound the ground or opponant. he has a simple homing jump move from Sonic Adventure. plus he can kick, punch, grab > throw/slam whatever...
