Well Sakurai said it can only be used once in battle. so at the most four will appear giving everyone a chance to use their FS, thats if they survive for that long.
i'm not saying i hope its not an item, but if it isnt it wouldnt mess up the game.
EDIT- on the note that deoxys is trapped in a pokeball, i'd really want to see Blaziken playable, as well as Lucario to rep for 4th gen.

Pikachu and Jigglypuff are guaranteed to stay. And I'd say Mewtwo is very likely to make a come back. That's 3 reps for Pokemon thus far. Leaving room for maybe one more, I don't see it deserving more than 4.
I agree. So far Starfox only has one character to rep its series (not counting Falco). I don't see why there would be a need for any more Pokemon that are playable in the game.

because pokemon has had the second biggest rep after Mario. But there would only be like one or two in Brawl.
A few from D/P should be added to the series eventually, even if they only appear from pokeballs.
Well, obviously there will be D/P Pokemon in pokeballs this time around, because the games are well and truly out. The question at hand is what Pokemon will become playable.

Agrees, thus being the reason why he is most likely going to be lost.
He had wonderful attacks, even though they were essentially the same as Pikachu's. I hated the self-damaging aspect of his attacks. They could bring him back if they took that out, or if they all did only 1% damage to him.
Fire Emblem needs more characters as well. But doesn't mean it'll get it.
I agree; I liked the addition of Marth and Roy. I'd like to see some from PoR, such as Ike or Mist.
Ike is more likely to appear cause he was the main on the console game.
I'd like to at least see him make some sort of appearance.
