I download my brushes from daviantart.
Make sure the brushes work with your program, it usually says in the brush discription on what its compatiable with. I'm sure they'll have some brushes for Corel Paint. (Or what ever you'll be using.)

You might want to clean renders with a soft brush, zoom up and get rid of those out of place colours, like the white around your Link.
I find that it's not usually a good Idea to let the render pop out from the bottom, unless you see the bottom of the render. When it cuts like that it just doesn't look good.
I'd say let the hat pop out, but make the bg bigger and touch the cut out areas of the render, and add a border. (3 pxl black overlay.)
I havent been working on any sigs/wallpaper in a very long time... I shall see what I can do to add to our glorious Gallery!
Ive been falling off lately on the siggy work. I shall soon be back to doing what I lve to do!
Since I am a bit depressed, I made this one and I'm working on another.

That's really good JM. Samus' new suit is awesome.
Thanks! =]
It's pretty good. Needs a border...and try to place renders in the middle. or in this case, to the left-ish. See how the body is pointed to the right? It causes the whole left side to feel empty... And the color balance seems a bit...drab. Unless that's what you're going for. Uhmmm...usually try to keep text together...as a "unit"

*disclaimer*Adam judges sigs insanely brutally Smile

Only way to get better is to know what to do next time ^_^

very true,
You have nice sigs JM, but you should try to blend in your renders a bit more. It might make them look better.

Edit: Someone should put this tread in the portfolio sub forum...

I haven't done sigs in so long, i basically forgot everything I knew for the most part. But thanks for the advice its a big step from before I must say... before there was that white line around the images!
