Yesterday I was in a wreck. I was driving back to college after voting in my hometown. I had pulled an all-nighter previously, and I was pretty tired. My eyes drooped for a bit, and when I opened them again, I was off the road. I hit the safety rail, and I went rolling down the hill. My van was a mess.
Surprisingly, I took off my seatbelt, opened the door, and walked out. I was a bleeding a bit, as well as very dirty. My shoulder was sore, but other than that I was okay.
They took me to the hospital, did some x-rays and kept me warm from my shivering body. The x-rays showed that nothing was broken, and that my sore shoulder would only form a bruise.
I had to get two stitches for an open cut in my neck, but other than that, I came through this beautifully.
My glasses are MIA, and my phone (with the antenna bent) still works fine. I have no car now, so I have to rely on rides from friends and family to places I need to get to (otherwise I'll walk).
But I thank God for getting me through this. He obviously has special plans for me.
