There's been a bunch of info bouncing around the web about Wal-Mart's Wii launch plans. From what we know so far the amount of units at each outlet will be no less than 20. However due to very high demand Wal-Mart will not offer online preorders, but they are still looking into other preorder possibilties. But most signs point to a midnight launch. A Wal-Mart employee has also said that the store he works at is already planning out where they will place the Wii and PS3 sections.
We'll follow up on this once there's more information.

My Wal-Mart is a small one and it already has the wii section in the elctronics picked out and has a nice new shiny Wii logo over the glass case where the games will go. I thought this was pretty cool, and I also noticed there was no spot for the PS3 yet...interesting.

so Wal-Marting is opening early. what about Toys r us?

My wal-mart is taking no pre-orders and opens at noon...sure hope there won't be a midnight madness...
