is it pronounced "vhistuh" or "veesta"

As soon as I saw it I've been pronouncing it "Vistuh" I don't know though, could always look it up online, I'm sure it'd say.

no it's not, its a general purpose PC operating system

its pronounced vizs-tuh

as in "what an amazing vista"
