Underrated = Battletoads.
I mean come on, the game freakin' owns. And anyone who hasn't heard of it needs to look it up, its a NES, SNES, and GB game for Nintendo, made by Rare back in the day. Its such good fun I really want to see Battletoads bought back, do it Rare for God's sake!
Overrated = FF-VIII
I mean the game just plain annoys me, Squall could possibly be one of the most annoying FF heroes up there. The only saving graces for this game were the beautiful soundtrack and Seifer. Everything else fails in my opinion.

I'm sick of these fanboys saying that Halo is the best game ever created. It's all the Xbox really has. If Halo never got ported to the Xbox from the PCs, then there would be no reason to even BUY an Xbox.

Glad I'm not the only person who agrees on the Halo series.
The original Halo was supposed to have come out on the Sega Dreamcast which is one of my favorite consoles of all time. The game's graphics of the original halo were not that great either yet the game was held by it's left nut. Anyway, had the game come out for Sega I doubt it would have been as popular.. I almost wish it would have just so people would get over Halo.

even tho i am a halo fan i agree it is way!! overated storyline wise (1player wise) but its multiplayer is amazing, and deffinitly merits appreciation and the fact that you can play the a lot of ppl can play the game for 2 years and not get bored is just amazing. but me i got bored after my first year lol. that year seemd to go buy oddly fast. (i wonder why)

when i read this thread, i absolutely knew one response
overrated: Halo. 1-players=bad. multiplayer=not that good. overall=absolutely nothing special. if you want a good multiplayer FPS, find a way to play Perfect Dark from the N64.

underrated: tie between Tales of Symphonia for GC and Golden Sun series for GBA. they are both excellent RPGs. ToS does have an absolutely awesome story when you get through the whole game. GS was just so addicting though. i couldn't put the game down

underrated: zelda: majora's mask and wind waker. i absolutely loved both of them. ZMM had a darker, more serious tone to it which is what immediately drew me into it. ZWW's visuals were top notch. i loved it.
overrated: halo's storyline. it sucks and i've never been able to complete the singleplayer campaign because i found it utterly boring. multiplayer is fun as hell though.

Overrated: Halo and i hate to say it but FF7. As much as i love the game, i still hear about how people who havnt even beat it think its the greatest game of all time.
when greatest game of all time is a 3 way tie. Resident evil 4, Metal Gear Solid 3, and LoZ:Orc of time. no particular order.
