as some of you may know, i do have a seasonal job working at GameStop. i recently found out that aside from a discount on most store purchases (no, this doesn't include new consoles), i also get to check out games from the store for FREE. i naturally decided to use my newly discovered powers for good (after realizing i couldn't really use them for evil). my only restrictions are that we have to have a reasonable amount of the game in stock (so severely hot new releases will be hard to rent) and i can only check out used DS and GBA titles since you can tell when those are used or new.

i'll try to check out and beat as many games as i can while still working my two jobs. after beating the game (or after my 4 day limit is up) i will write a review of the game and give it a rating (i'm trying to come up with a unique rating system. ideas would be appreciated). i'm in the middle of my 1st rental/review and plan on having the review posted before the middle of next week. there are naturally some games that i will be trying to review, but i am also hoping that i'll have enough time to play the games that YOU want me to. if there is a certain title you would like me to check out, please send me a PM or let me know in one of the threads. please keep in mind that i'm not too big on racing and sports titles and not very good at fighters. i'll still try my best to give an unbiased review if such a title is requested though.

i have already discussed the topic with joker and he is going to see about creating a new board specifically for member reviews where i, and other members can post reviews. i'll actually be picking up a new game Saturday to play while waiting for the Wii to release, so if you would like some advice/a review of a certain DS or GBA title please let me know and i'll see what i can do. thanks to those of you who will support me in my small contribution to this site and my fellow members

Good to hear, and its a good idea. A review section would be good.

User reviews are good to see how the general public views games. I mean we know that the big guys at places like IGN and Gamespot should know their stuff but its always nice to have reviews written by members of this community to help tip the scales.

Also I envy you for having this power lol.

i also figured that reviews posted by members would be more personal and possibly more trustworthy. it would also give the members a chance to ask some questions about the review or aspects of the game i failed to mention in the review. hopefully it goes over as well as i hope

still looking for someone to suggest a DS or GBA game for me to play while waiting on my Wii. i'll be leaving in about 5 hours

good idea. i haven't been much on b-ball games in the past, but i didn't really like soccer or baseball games until i played mario's versions of those. i'll see if we have one in stock, otherwise i'll have to go with something else

lolz me 2 .. its aweosme how nintendo takes ideas then adds mario and some cool features and it pwns like 100x more

My friend also has it, I enjoyed playing it a fair bit.

ok, so i forgot one major problem with my review idea: Twilight Princess.

i don't know what i was thinking, but LoZ:TP is going to occupy pretty much my entire time. i'll get my 1st true review out Wednesday on my day off, but otherwise my abilities will be pretty well limited to playing a game a bit and saying whether the gameplay and starting story is anything special. this is especially true for Wii games since my store's only allowing 1 day rentals for most of those games. if someone is kind of worrying about how the gameplay works on a certain game (like are all the motions really necessary for Marvel Ultimate Alliance?), i'll be more than happy to check it out for you. otherwise my next review will likely be LoZ:TP, though it will likely be awhile if i even do it. i'm sure everyone has their own review

When the Wii comes out at Australia in a few weeks I'll only write my TP review when I have completed the game.

i won't bother with it. there are enough reviews floating around, and everyone's buying it anyway. don't need me to tell you the game's awesome. you'll find out soon enough

Still, reviews are fun to right. And I might find bad points others didn't. And especially since I don't know if any other launch games are gonna be on my list of games to buy anyhoo.

I'm sad to see the Game Guide section gone, I have been needing a reason to write a walkthrough and WiiLoaded was nearly my chance lol.
