Just got a GBC off my friend...for free ofcoarse, so I've got two questions:

1.) Do I only need a GBC link cable to contact between two GB/GBC games if I have one in my GBA SP and one in my GBC, or do I need a GBC Multi link cable?
2.)What is that black square on the top of the GBC.

(Don't blame me, my first gameing system was a GBA SP)
A normal GBC to GBC link cable will work to connect the two systems (the GBA link cable port is backward compatible with the GBC link cable port).
The black square is an infrared port. It wasn't used for much...I think a few Pokemon games (Silver/Gold/Crystal and TCG all use it...but not for anything terribly worthwhile). From Pokemon Silver manual: "You can send and receive Mystery Gifts to and from friends using the built-in Infrared Communications Port. This is a fun way to increase the various types of items you have." I think the Mission: Impossible game allowed you to use a GBA to control your TV or something like that. So...yeah...exciting stuff...Wink
