Full Version: Nintendo Taking The Classic Approach

Ever since Super Mario 64, Nintendo has to be given credit for literally starting the idea of 3-D gaming. Today, Nintendo is trying to revolutionize technology with the remote-like controller and enabling Wi-Fi throughout the world, but are the games truly changing? Nintendo games have usually been repetitive, and I think ideas of games are lacking, though I continue to play all these games and enjoy it (who wouldn't?). Examples of these games can include the Mario Parties, 2 Paper Marios, Mario Sports (which I think are only good with tennis and golf), The Mario 64 sequel with Mario 128 (Mario Sunshine has same idea of Mario 64), The Super Smash Bros. Series (still great), the Mario Kart series (awesome), and the Metroid Primes. Though I support Nintendo with these games, I'm somewhat concerned with the gaming. I feel as though more new ideas have to be created while series can be continued. Luigi's Mansion was a sign of new life, but what about a new light now? (Not Luigi's Mansion 2!)

But I do have to say the idea of having the "same" games works greatly on me and many other gamers. And, the Revolution's technology will reach out to all gamers, including adult's, with its controller. Is that good or bad to have more adults playing throughout the world? Adults need to stay back! The PS3 and Xbox 360 can take the adults with the high prices and "amazing" graphics (It's HD of course).

Nintendo will show new experiences instead of repetitive systems PSone,2,3,PSP and Xbox,Xbox360 and Nintendo brings new ideas to the world with their different types of systems. With the GameCube, Nintendo "haters" called the controller childish, and that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Mario and Nintendo keeps the kid within us, and gives us competitive gameplay. Without Nintendo (a video game company), we'd be following a computer company and an all-around technology that is concerned with other products.

PSP is more focused on media such as movies and music while the 360 is just an xbox with an extra graphics. Mario has helped us stay young with no horrible violence that some people don't want. And though I support Nintendo throughout almost everything they do, their game ideas need to keep moving on, though many people (including me) like the many series'. I'm not saying to stop all of the present series', but Nintendo should create new ideas. Let's keep producing new games with old ideas, and creating new games with new ideas.

Nintendo seems to continue honoring the old systems and remembering their glory days with so much respect. And the idea of downloadable games will show no sign of breaking from the past. Maybe Nintendo wants us to keep remembering their best games from the past...

Stay Classy Nintendo! Rolleyes
virtual console will be awesome and hopefully cheap
Sony is thinking money, they want their product to be the main device in the house.

Nintendo wants to build a machine that will play video games.
I hope the Virtual Console is Cheap!
same
It better be, I'm planning on getting a ton of games from it.
I never play old-skool games so i'm not going to miss much. But i will try some of the mario games.
some old school games are the greatest I Cant wait to download Final Fantasy 3
I also have never played Final Fantasy, whats it about?
Theres lots of different Final Fantasy's but there the best games ever made Smile all of them have Great Stories and such
the old-school Final Fantasies are the ONLY ones in my opinion, newer ones are lacking the story-lines and thats what the games are about. Final Fantasy would suck if they didnt have such good story writers. FFX2 was horrible because it didnt have a story (nice battle system thou) and whats with the 360 FF? its completly online? I dont play those massive online games because they cost money each month! I already paid like $60 for the game, why do I want to keep paying to be allowed to play it? I've never understod people that play those games like War Craft - sure it might be the best game ever, but think of the money and time wasted by it! well, correct me if im wrong, but thats why I've never played a MMORPG in my life.
I know the new ones are making me mad u make a Good Point but the older Final Fantasy's Are amazing!
I hear ya. I've only ever liked from FF 7 back. I find that MMOs get really boring after a month. It just feels like you're doing the same thing over and over again.
you should try the other Final Fantasy's there all Great
I tried X and liked that one, X2 no. Never got to play above 6 cause I never owned PS1, but 7,8 sounded real good, never heard much about 9
ill get a lot of virtual games...depending on the price of course
Same here, First day I'm getting a lot of Marios, Donkey Kongs, and Mortal Kombat.
Prices of Virtual Games should be the following (internet scoop)..
-One Game=1-5$
