I have heard many a rumor floating around that the first party games on the Virtual Console for the Wii will be available for free download. Has anyone else heard this or have any concrete information about it?

I doubt it will be free, but it will be cheap I'm sure. Dont kill if I'm wrong though.

That would be good if 1st Party games were free. But Everyone would want mario games, nintendo should charge $$ for some mario games!!

What about speculation on the original NES launch title games. Yeah, people would be willuing to pay for the original Mario, BUT the free offering would help introduce people to the idea of the virtual console and allow them time to get used to the interface.

I just hope the Wii comes with 2-3 free game downloads.

i think they are putting online with the old multiplayer games

I won't mind paying for VC games whether they are first party or not, but surely there'll be some sort of package to get a few free downloads when you first hook up the Wii.

And as for online for the multiplayer games, I dunno... it could be done I suppose, but would they bother?
