So it wasn't even 24 hours and I dropped my wii from about 6 feet (it was on top of an entertainment center shelf above the television. I woke up at like 1am and realized the green light was on and when i went to turn it off i knocked it over. But, it still works. Anyone else drop theirs yet?????
omg thats horrible. im surprised its still working from a fall of 6 feet. well i guess nintendo passes the durability test
No, I have not dropped mine, and I don't plan on dropping it anytime soon.
Edit:
btw, You can turn your Wii off with the Wii Remote. Simply hold down the "Power" button on the Wii Remote.
I wish I had one that I *could* drop :'(
Dude, when i'm getting mine, the only place its gonna be is safley on the ground or back against the wall on a desk!
thats a bummer man. I was so carefull with mine. i carried it like it was a baby :-)
I was playing Wii sports baseball and I almost through it at the wall it slipped out of my hand luckily the strap

I have a rubber glove thing on my wiimote so I get a decent hold on the controller.
I'm sure the Wii would work from a fall.. the only thing that would probably be "broken" are the plastic doors. Those aren't really made of steel but they are pretty durable if they can fall six feet and live the day heh.
Be careful and put your Wii in a shelf to ensure extra safety!

Green light?
actually i think you can take off the covers on the top, i almost did by accident.
but hey if the thing is anything like previous Nintendo consoles, it can probably take a beating and live to tell about it (don't ask how I know this). All my old consoles (especially my N64) went through a lot and still work great to this day!

I can't wait untill I am playing Tennis and I jump up to serve it will the Wiimote in my hands and my fan is on.... oh boy... I better grab another wiimote..

You dont need to jump to serve it.
i haven't dropped mine yet. Mine is still inside the box. I refuse to play it until i have component cables!!! in the mean time, i'm playing my xbox 360 Gears of War.

No, I haven't dropped mine yet. I guess that's because I stuck my Wii on the floor in my room. The most that could happen is my TV falling ontop of it, or it could tip over. But it would take a fair amount of strength to yank my TV off of it's spot on the stand.
lol i dont ever plan on dropping mine
