I've called my local TRU which just opened up and they said they havent got any wii's yet, anyone tried in a different area other than san diego? =(
would they actually tell u they dont have it even if they do when u call them over the phone? or should i take their words for it? going insane now >"<
All my local stores are located in Elyria, Ohio (Just Southwest of Cleveland), and so far no one has any wiis in stock, or knows when they will be getting any more. A couple stores hinted perhaps on black friday or next week, but nothing for certain.
Both Costco's in my area of Michigan had the bundles at opening today. I didn't know they were getting them so just casually stopped in to one of them at 11:15am to ask. They sold out by 10:30am. Same with the other store when I called. The closest Best Buy has not rec'd a 2nd shipment yet, nor has Meijer. Will just keep trying!
Nice to know Costcos had some today somewhere... gives us hope!!
my best bet right now would be the bigger best buys and toysrus ... given up hope for now for the rest =(
Well, the spots I checked in Michigan were.....
Toys R Us in Novi
Toys R Us in Westland
Best Buy in Farmington Hills
Best Buy in Westland
Target in Novi
Target in Livonia
Wal-Mart in South Lyon
Wal-Mart in Livonia
Meijer in Wixom
Meijer in Livonia
GameStop in Westland
FYE in Westland
Costco in Livonia
and not 1 had any Wii's .......
What area of Michigan were you tryin Kosmo???
just got home form making the rounds this morning. Target, Best Buy, Wallmart, Toys R Us were all a bust and nobody seemed to know when they were getting more in. Went to a few Gamestop/Eb Games stores. Most seemed to have them (about 3 per store) but weren't selling them till friday. At one location I missed buying the last one by like 2 minutes. Kind of frustrating, but I think if we all stay diligent we'll all be able to track one down soon.

I found the same thing as you did with the stores you listed. The stores that had them here in the Grand Rapids, MI area were the Costcos. They had the bundle packs upon opening this morning but quickly sold out. No luck anywhere else here either.
I am in Rockford, IL and went to both Walmarts, EB games/Gamestop, Target, Toys R' Us, Circuit city, Comp USA and Best Buy, and no one had them

another wasted day.....
No luck today ...
- 3 Toysrus (some 20miles away -_-) .. all looked at me weird as if i was on crack or something and said "no sry sir " and walked away...
- Gamestop - confirmed selling at Friday morning(7-9am need to reconfirm)
- EBgames - same thing for gamestop.
- Walmart - Lady said to call back after 12 or 12:30 since thats when they get their stocks in (which i doubt would have any Wii since NONE other stores has it) - encourage whoevers reading this to check w/ their local walmart !
- 1 Target - None and don't know when will the next batch comes in..
Kinda blows where they can't be sure of anything yet the demand i see is very high as of right now... i dont understand why cant nintendo announce a formal news for when next shipment will be available...
i mean, i've read people bought 1 on launch date near noon time, some got them on monday, nothing seems to be certain on the matter ... >"<
Same story here in Bismarck, ND.
Checked both Wal-Marts about 45 minutes ago. Neither have gotten any in since the first shipment. The guy I asked at the Skyline Bvld. Wal-Mart had no clue when they would get the second shipment, but he did figure by Friday. He offered to sell me an Xbox 360 instead, though. The same story at the Rock Island Wal-Mart.
Target has none, nor do they have any idea when they are getting any. They thought they might have some for Friday, but they couldn't guarantee anything.
K-Mart says that they won't have any before Thanksgiving, but more than likely will the week after. They only had three at launch, anyhow.
Best Buy has gotten none since the original shipment, or atleast none they are stocking yet. The sales guy I talked to said his boss has told him to tell people to come back on Friday morning.
I called Gamestop this morning, but I couldn't get much out of the guy. He said that they still had preorders to fill (no mention of how many), so whatever Wii's they did get in were going to fill the remaining preorders.
I guess I'm not too surprised by what I found out today. There was only about 250 Wii's in the entire town (about 100,000 people with 10 miles), so they went quickly here. I'm still hopeful that I can get one in the next wekk or so.
what i want is not the wii because i already have one

but damn, i want the god damn component cables!!! they are so hard to find
I just keep checking the interweb.
Pricegrabber had them lsited for $700+ yesterday, so far the prices have dropped to $440, but Im not going to pay over retail.
My mom works at a local Target, as soon as they get any in, she is going to buy me one

.
Circuit City had some in Panhandle area of Florida. I went, and the Guy directly in front of me got the last one.
;_;
Damn it.
i live on the west coast, so here's an update for some people in my area.
target: the targets that i talked to in this area all said the same thing; try next week. why? they get 20-30 each week, and because all the people that work there are not allowed to pre-order through them, they had to wait until second shipment, which should be thurs (they think, though it is random). they all guessed that the workers would snatch the first ones, and that people who didn't get pre-orders filled would get the rest.
costco: there are 2 in 10 miles of each other. the horrible, true, story: they do stock on tues, so today would have been the day to get one. i sent someone that lives close by to the costco to get one when it opened (i live an hour away). he goes, they don't even have a spot for one. i come in later to ask about it. because of the proximity of the other costco, this one did not even get a shipment at all. the moral of this story: if you have 2 costcos next to each other, for the love of zelda, go to both.
i hope people have been having a better time of it than i have. at least, if target is any indication, the stores are expecting 20-30 each, each week. maybe next week will be better....
I got one yesterday (tuesday) at a game stop about 20 miles out of Athens, Ga. They got two more in yesterday, but didn't expect more till black friday at the earliest.
I checked our Costco again today and they did not have any. The mgr said that yesterday's shipment was it "for now". He said there are no shipments in transit so he does not expect to have them for a "couple of weeks". At least I can rule out this stop for Friday morning!
Also checked Best Buy, Circuit City and EB Games all this morning ... and nuttin' Bummer!
I'm in Massachusetts and got a Wii today at BJ's Wholesale Club. Luckily I called, cause the guy at the service desk didn't even know they got them in yet. I think he was pissed.
It's a bundle:
Wii Console and Standard Accessories (Controller, Nunchuck, Cables, etc...)
Wii Sports
Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Pretty much exactly what I wanted. Off to play!
How Much more did it cost?!?1
Future shop had some wii's in today and more coming thursday/friday.
