I was bowling last night and I nailed my remote on my chair when I was trying to put some spin on the ball. The remote still works fine, but it has a huge chip in the corner of it. I am going to go to Bestbuy to get some of the protective covers for it. Be safe!
i havent messed up my remote yet, but i will probably still get a protective cover or glove or whatever it is!
I have covers on my remotes and I love them. They make for an easier grip, keep the controller clean, and mine don't get confused when my I play with friends.

-edit-
I should mention, the covers that are currently being sold I don't think they would do much to protect your controller from being hurt.
well, i probably need the gloves for the cleaness. my wiimote got a little dirty once cause i had just washed my hands and they were a little wet.
i accidently knicked it agains thte coffee table playing maddocks at wiitennis luckily no marksSmile

The gloves keep it from getting sweaty from my hands, which increases grip. I'm also using tha lanyard. As you said, i can keep the remotes seperate by the gloves, so I like them alot.

I almost through it at the Wall super hard playing baseball I swung it SO hard lol Good thing for the strap.
my bro has had the strap save him a few times, i hit my wiimote on my knee pitching one time. and while putting on the glove, i dropped it from 4.5 feet right onto hardwood floor, but still works like a charm, and those gloves are a life saver, i had dirty hand that got sweaty and got the wiimote all nasty, so the glove helps with that. but my friends have the same ones, which gets confusing.
omg, I was playing bowling with my twin and my little brother and they were both wearing their wrist bands and I said "I don't think I'll need one, they're dorky..." then a few bowls later I got way into it and tried to throw it really fast down the lane and I let go of it by accident, it flew, hit the cieling, hit a shelf, hit the wall and fell to the floor, IT GOT A LOT OF AIR!!! my brothers were laughing hysterically and when I picked it up I didn't see a single scratch and it worked perfectly

moral of the story, wear the wristbands
My father almost swung mine too much while playing boxing.

There are covers for the controllers? Cool.
