I waited in the line at EB Games for roughly three hours. The people were pretty cool, too. They were nice and defended my spot for me. The Nintendo Wii was worth the wait. As soon as I got the box, I immediately fell in love with the thing. Even though it costed me about $370.00 CDN for everything it was still worth every penny.
Also, I am curious - where is your Wii located? The family room, living room, basement...? I must know!

I waited from 5-7 AM to get myself a ticket. I then came back an hour later to pick up my Wii. I was 23rd in line!
12 am - 8 am! Yeah, boy!!! I felt like a hard-core Nintendo fan. Except the frigid weather made it annoying 'til I got a sleeping bag.
i waited from 2:30 pm till midnight to get one at wal-mart. I ended up with Wii #17 out of 20 total
I went to work from 7am on sat to 1130pm, then rushed straight to circuit city, where i was awake waiting until they handed out tickets at 8am. the store opened at 10am, and i was 13th in line, so I waited till about 1130am to get the wii in my hands. Worth the wait.

I waited at EB for about four hours. I had preordered my Wii, but forgot to preorder and extra Wiimote/Nunchuck and didn't want to be left out. I had a ton of fun and met some really cool people. There were about 20 or so people in line by 11pm, Saturday night and everyone was stoked. Lots of Mario Kart and Metroid battles went on. Overall, it was a blast. Let those other consoles' fanboys talk junk all they want, Nintendo fans are the best.
i waited in line from 10pm-10am for my preorder, and then another half hour to get it, so 12:30 mins. and it was worth every second
I waited for 6 hours and I got the wii.
I waited 3 hours a week before it came out just to get the pre-order at Times Square Toys R Us. Then I waited for the launch, but didn't wait on line. I went back to Times Square later that morning and purchased my Wii at 12:12pm on the dot at Toys R Us.

i went to walmart i was the 34th person in line and the lady said there was only 30 systems...so sad i will try again on black friday wish me luck
I have to wait until Christmas

I can't believe I got one, and I got to laugh at the 30 people who camped out
from 5:45am sat until 12:01am sunday morning at the walmart i work at...2nd person in line..haha it was amazing
8pm Sat. til 6:30am Sun. Then they gave us our coupons (I was number 11). The store opened at 7am so we could get our Wii's. The first people in line had been waiting there since 4:30pm. Sleeping on the sidewalk outside of Wal*Mart is one of the nuttiest things I think I've ever done. But it was worth every minute of the 11 and a half hours.
I got super, super-lucky. I just couldn't spare the time to stand in line anywhere, so I figured I'd take my changes with Amazon's (I thought) midnight order-taking. I stayed up until 3:30am (CST), and finally went to bed, frustrated but planning on checking when I woke up just in case.
For some reason, at exactly 10am, I suddenly woke up, bolted upright, grabbed my laptop, and checked Amazon...and I got one! When I found out how fast they sold out, well, I still can't believe my incredible luck.
It came today. Best. Console. Ever.
