I'm having some difficulties with my wii wifi connection..

I have 2 wiis in my basement that run off a wireless connection from my router.. however when I try to hook one upstairs using the same connection it doesn't connect. It reads it as being an acess point but cannnot connect and update the machine.

Is there a way I can use the computer in the room that is hooke dup via a wired connection to boost the wii signal or even create an alternate one?

And do you think the interference can be so great that I can read the signal but not connect.
What error are you getting? Are you sure your wireless is strong to reach upstairs? If the Wii's Wifi is anything like the DS, it can sometimes have trouble getting through several walls (or at least mine does sometimes).
You... have ...... 2... .wiis you idiot i hate you.... ~.- Thats 1 less wii for someone else.
No I have 1 Wii and My dad has 1 Wii and My uncle has 1 Wii.

So technically it's a will for all! But yes there was just some interference.. he is going to have to move his wii for internet use and then place it back when he finishes.
If you have a wifi card in the wired computer, yes, you can set that computer to share its internet access using that wireless card. It's not difficult to do in OS X or Windows - I haven't tried it on Linux before as I've had no need. A simple Google search will lead you to enlightenment, and if you cant find a good article yourself I'll try to help out.
Uhm the Wii had a very good and one of the newest Wifi Chips inside so strength of the Wii isnt the prob, I guess your Router isn't strong enough like mine. But if I were you I kicked out the Wifi thing and boguht Lanwires! LONG LIVE CABLES!!!
for the wii to accept a pc as an access point you will need to use either routing software with a wire connection or
get the nintendo usb accesspoint for windows xp as used by the DS.
