According to P.J. McNealy of American Technology Research, North America will recieve anywhere from 1.5 million to 2 million Wii before the new year. McNealy says "research indicates that Nintendo's initial numbers for the launch weekend in North America were in the range of 425k to 475k. ... Our research indicates that Nintendo will likely ship at least 1.5MM to 2.0MM units to North America this calendar year.''
Good news for Christmas shoppers since it means a more abundant supply. Hopefully this also means more software units will be shipped as well for those people who got the Wii, but weren't able to pick up any games they wanted.
