Full Version: EB Games, you piss me off.

This is a "Wii" little story that I'm going to share. When I first heard about the Wii, I wanted it, but never knew when to make the initiative towards actually getting the Wii itself. When I learned that EB Games was accepting preorders at some point, I was psyched towards this, and called and called their store for a long while, until I finally forgot. The last I had called, they had said that they weren't taking any preorders at all, and probably will not be taking them.

I said to myself "Okay, fine. That's cool -- guess I'll just go on opening day like the rest of them and wait in line."

About a few weeks ago, I called and asked them about the preorders. According to them, they were taking preorders, but they all sold out. I don't know why EB Games liked screwing with my mind like that. They shouldn't just say that they're not going to have preorders if they don't know.. that's not right.

Have any troubles like this that pissed you off?
EB cause a lot of problems and usually don't know what the hell they are talking about. So its best to usually keep trying.

YES THEY HAVE! Those bastards lost my WArrenty on my Cracked DS lite....I still got a new one but had to buy new Warrenty D:
Hmm.. Game Stop .. Ebgames.. same thing.. but for some reason the Gamestops I go into always seems to have their priorities straight. My Uncle manages at a Gamestop in Minnestoa so I get first dibs on a lot of info now a days.
Yeah I haven't really shoped there since they screwed up my order from their web site a while ago. I ordered two used DVDs that were listed as ships in 24 hours. The next day two days they had not shipped but were still listed as ships in 24 hours. The next day there were listed as backordered. I emailed them to find out if they had been shiped because for two days after I ordered they were still listed as in stock and they said they had not been shiped but they would check other stores (which I could do myself on the web site) and see if any had any in stock (which I had looked and many stores did have them) and they would get those and send them. Well a couple months had passed and I was going on vacation so I searched stores I was going to be near and found one of them had one of the DVDs I had ordered so I went to the EB and got it. When I got home I sent them an email and told them I needed to cancel just the one DVD from my order and they emailed me back and said they had canceled the whole order themselves before that because they were not going to get any more of those DVDs when they told me before that I would still be recieving them. I emailed them back and let them know I was not happy about it and they didn't even send an apology.
