I personally think that it looks pretty cool. I didn't like the original Sims look, so this kind of new "Animal Crossing" style is ok with me.

I just checked out the website & i am dissapointed, its not a real life stimulation game anymore.. its some cartoonish thing now.. Not even close to RL. This game is just meant for kids -__-. Some aspects are cool, like how you design you're furniture and stuff... but you have to collect essences and stuff to make it? Make sense? .. yeah thats all.

I kind of like a cartoon type thing once in a while, but it's all preferance.

This game is released tomorrow, so we'll probably be able to pick it up either Tuesday or Wednesday !!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope the reviews for it are good, because I'd really like to pick up this title.

The release date kind of came fast because I didn't realize that it was coming out soon until I saw the commercial on tv yesterday. I didn't realize Dewy's Adventure was releasing this week either.

From the video it looks decent with some fun moments. IGN gave it a 7.0 which equals a decent game. I might look into it.

I like MySims and have given it a "good" final score. The game has style and charm. I'm partial to the cute, colorfuly visual presentation and actually wish that EA had done a little more with it, going so far as to incorporate Mii avatars – I feel that was a missed opportunity. The world that you explore in the game is filled with objectives, which is great. The problem is that nearly all of the objectives revolve around the same two tasks: the collection of essences and the construction of houses, buildings and items. All of the Sim management and social interaction elements of the previous games – well, you're not going to find much of that in the streamlined Wii affair. If you can get past that, you will still find a fun affair that uses the Wii remote well and generally looks pretty good. It just isn't as non-linear or deep as any Sims game before it. With any luck, the sequel will marry the depth of the series with the new Wii look and controls.

Yup I just checked out the same IGN review, so I'll be picking this game up. I kind of doubt if I'll be able to find it today, but def tomorrow.

I'll wait for the sequel or Animal Crossing Wii.

I like the idea of this game because I love to build things, and that seems to be the biggest task in the game. I own animal crossing for the gamecube, and for whatever reason could never get into it. I really wanted to, but it just never happened.
(I actually bought a whole bunch of those Animal Crossing cards for the gameboy reader, and lost them

i got this game today... i think it's gonna be a lot of fun. so far the stuff i've had to do has been kinda dull, but i think it's gonna get better as the game goes on. every task is a little more challenging.
it's a lot different than the sims because you don't have to eat, sleep, shower, pee, and all that stuff. i like that. it's weird to get used to not having to sleep though.
it's a good pick up and play game, i think... i imagine it'll be pretty easy to start playing and not want to stop for hours, too, though.

Its a Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing game with a Sims twist. I think it will be different, you just have to keep in mind that they always pick Nintendo systems seem to be geared more towards a family-oriented theme, whereas the other consoles and the PC don't necessarily push that as much, so of course its going to look a little cuter than the other Sims games. Still, I think its worth a shot. I can't say much for myself, since I'm going to be the idiot out there blowing bubbles and splashing in the fountain all day....

I picked the game up this morning at Walmart, so I'll be playing it tonight, so I can give a first impression then, but I have high hopes for it even though it's already been reported to not be quite as polished as we'd like to see.

I like the game thus far, but I'm really surprised by some of the load screens. I mean they'll be a 2 sec stop in the game and you get a load screen which is crazy. I think they went a little nuts with that. I can see a load screen for a minute or two loading, but literal seconds isn't necessary.
