Waaa Got the same problem here in Holland. They now know they havent god enough Wii's that will satisfy the reqeusts! THe stupidiest but still fair thing is that they'll sell the Wii's to the first pre-orderers! Best thing: I was lik 4th or so...But still possible I get screwed so my parents agreed me to be sick on the 8thWink Wiihoe! To get my WiiToungue

Nothing at the Bestbuy in my town. (Laval, Québec)

Nothing either at Futureshop, Walmart or Zellers.

Got to my bestbuy at 6:20, my location got 63 in stock, I was number 64 in line.  Sad

Next time I'm getting there at 4:00.

My Best Buy had 17 in stock. They handed out tickets at 9:30am (store opens at 12 noon). The manager specifically said that they wouldn't be doing the ticket thing again, so when everyone else in line found out that they handed out tickets, a lot of unhappy people could be seen.
Well I HAD a Wii... Camped out all last night... I was 17th in line... picked up a Wii and a few games. Went home a happy customer. Hooked it up and turned it on.. played with the menu setup everything... worked great.

Until I actually put a disc in 'Read disc error' ... tried another... 'Read disc error'. In other words I was the one unlucky guy that got the defective one. Angry at this point I packed it all back up and headed back to Best Buy (knowing they wouldn't have any for me to switch it out with). I can understand that though... what I was wanting to do was trying to get it exchanged with one on the next shipment. That was a big no go (also the guy made a wise crack joke about 'hey atleast we are not charging you a 15% restocking fee' ... not the best thing to say to me at this point. I made him call his manager over... still no luck at trying to get them to set aside a Wii for an exchange. The manager ended up making the Geek squad look it over to see if they could fix it. Again... no luck. There is more details beyond that and me yelling a bit. I knew I had to leave before I got too heated (high blood pressure already) so I just returned it all and got my money back.

So in the end I walked out a very dissatisfied customer. I got my money back and no compensation at all for all my wasted time.
that may be one of the most awful things I have ever heard, DK, I hope you get some justice, you deserve maybe even more than the next guy.
I don't like best buy's management. After he cracked that joke, I would have gotten right up in his face and his manager's face.
