Walmart manager i just spoke to on the phone, she said thats what they were doing. Maybe its regional but the person said since the ad is coming out all stores will be withholding them!
Man, I would have to drive for about fifty minutes to a 24hour walmart saturday night, drive 35 minutes to the nearest besbuy, and then another 15 home.....I dont know,

I think my friend and I are each going to go to different lines on a best buy and a walmart that are about 2 minutes from eachother, when the first reaches the front, they call the other and buys two
Sweet... I think I'm still gonna hit up Walmart Sat 12 AM, and Sun 12 AM...
Where do you live XC101384?
I live near Omaha, NE (Papillion) and every store I've called today had zero and couldn't tell me when they were getting more in. The lady at Target actually told me that they wouldn't be getting another shipment until Jan. I have two super/24 hour Walmarts near me and they haven't had a second shipment since the initial launch day. Neither has given me the line about Dec 3, or 6. These stores are saying to check back closer to Christmas. I have called or stopped by EB/Gamespot everyday this week start last Sunday, nothing. The only store that looks promising is of course Bestbuy. Unfortunately I have to work Sat night/Sunday morning till 7am and by then the line will have rapped around the building like this past Sunday. If there is anyone with info about the Omaha/Papillion/Bellevue area, please let me know. Prospects are looking bad out this way.
I am in central MA and another walmart just said the same thing, of course they are not 24hr walmarts but that shouldnt change anything
Hmm, I live in southern New York so it shouldn't be different, sigh...this could really piss me off
Probably, i spoke to someone a toys r us and they said to call in the morning because they get shipments in every few days. and most stores havent gotten alot since launch. They are your best bet unless you want to camp out at best buy. i did it last weekend and if you dont want to do that you will probably have to get there at 4 am.
*Sigh* The two stores that always have definite Wii release dates are not in my area. (Best Buy and Wal-Mart)
UPDATE: I added a ruled out section to the front post. This shows stores we've pretty much ruled out from having a Wii before the new year. Let me know what you think of the current listings.

Cya all tomorrow, sc7.
Last Post for tonight as well!

Anyway, some Wal-Mart information. Not all walmarts are doing the December 6th only deal, only in certain areas. I know they start to put things on shelves at about 10:20, for some stores the specialists in the electronics area might have left and you might not reach someone who knows anything.

Yeah thats the problem with my WalMart if its locked up in electronics you have to hunt for somebody who can page somebody to come get it out for you
Fing sweet! I just found a Wii online... Took me about 30 minutes to navigate through the whole purchase because the site is running so damn slow... Guess they're getting hit up by everyone...

Calling stores is pot luck. If you get someone in the know and is willing to help you might get reliable info. I'll bank on info I hear from Wii seekers
before some red shirt drone.

Theory: Target is not receiving Wii on their overnight truck. It's coming in solo via UPS. Which means we need to focus efforts on catching the afternoon stocking. Although grabbing a freshly made Cranberry Bagel and Pumpkin spiced latte at the super target was a nice treat this morning I doubt I'll be doing that run again.

Conspiracy Rant: Ok, so all the Majors are lining us up like lemmings for a Sunday morning Wii tent-a-thon. Camp out, pray to the Wii Gods that your position in line is less than available inventory, gnaw on your fingers will you watch the manager pass out the tixs, you know the drill. Do you think this is all a coincidence?

It's called Nintendo Marketing people. Keep us fluttering around town looking for stock, building the anticipation, then focus our consumerism in an all night orgy of Wii lust. We'll be telling our grandchildren about the time we stood in line waiting for that Nintendo Wii. We'll have a stack of Wii gear we saved in the garage knowing someday we'll be featured on the PBS Antique Show.

No, you don't believe any of this conspirancy crap. Your in control of your own life. As soon as you get in that line you'll feel as right as rain. Have another bagel and make the drink a venti, it's going to be a long night.
Damn, I tried hitting the site again to see if the deal was still valid and it's not taking me to the Wii anymore... It's just taking me to the main index 1st page...

Damn they sold fast...

Is that a legitimate site? And do they definitely have the Wii's in stock?

I'm from Madison, MS,  and this is what I have to offer:

1)Probably should have camped out the first day.

2) Based on some of my experiances, when you talk to people on the phone or in the store, make sure they are a manager,  regular employees don't know anything.

3) It's probably a better idea to go to the store and see for yourself, for one, they are more polite, and I have found they are more likely to give out more information.

But mainly because of this:
-  I called Toys R Us on Sunday around 1:00 P.M.  and asked for the manager, then asked the million dollar question,  and she said that they didn't have any instock.  Today I walked in the store and asked the manager, in-person, she said no, but she did inform me that on Sunday they had a shipment come in around 12:30 P.M., they went straight to the shelf and sold out around 2:00 P.M.   (I was lied to, and it felt GREAT)
-Same thing happened with GameStop and EB Games,  they said they didn't have any (on the phone) at the time, but I found out that they did by talking to someone else in the store later on.

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE FOUND OUT BY TALKING IN PERSON TO PEOPLE AT VARIOUS STORES IN MY AREA

-TOYS R US - They expect another shipment around 12:00 P.M. - 12:30 P.M. this Friday,  those systems will immediatly be put out for sale and to expect around 10 - 20 systems. (this came from the manager,  not the one that lied to me, the one above her)
- GameStops - They have not recieve one this week,  they expect to get one in on either Thursday or Friday,  if it comes in, it will be around 12 - 1 p.m. when the truck runs and to expect between 2-4 systems(this came from the store manager and he said it applys to all the local stores)
- EB Games - The manager said he doesnt know anything, just check back whenever
- Circuit Cities - I've been in there three times and each time a different manager tells me they won't have any untill after Christmas.
- WalMarts -  Are stockpiling untill December 3rd according to Wiiseeker
- Targets - The manager said most likely Thursday or Friday.  He informed that they did however get some PS3's and attemped to point me in that direction.  (I wanted to punch him in the trachia, and explain the difference, but i just walked away)
- Best Buys - A friend of mine has a sister that is a manager, her sister told me they will be selling them every Sunday morning and it will be between 15 - 30 systems each time.

If you live in the greater Jackson area, in MS, I hope this helps you.
Here's proof so no one calls me a liar...

Sweet. And they are definitely in stock and will be shipped this week?

I also just got my Wii!!!!

I went to Target at 3:00am, I was number 4 in line. Target had 12 Wii's. Over 40 in line, VERY unhappy people, almost got pretty ugly.

But I am now a VERY happy person.

They also had ALOT of extra Wiimotes and Nunchucks.
