Same story as everyone else in the Frisco, Tx area (North Dallas suburb).
Wal-mart: hoarding until the 6th.
Target: hoarding until 3rd.
BB: hoarding until 3rd.
GameStop: Thought it was next week, but received an email today saying maybe on Friday and to call/come in then.
TRU: no clue, check back every day
Funny story from BF though... My wife was away in Oklahoma and stopped at a TRU for some stuff for my son and called me all excited: "TRU has Wiis! You want one?" My reply: "Uh, YEAH!"
A couple minutes later she calls me: "False alarm, just empty display boxes. Why would they do that?"
DOH!
See if you can get to the Target on Skillman & Abrams... If you're lucky they'll still have some... Guy told me he had like 8 boxes in the back and each box had 3 Wii's each...

Thats over an hour from where I'm at... surely they'll be gone by the time I could get there...
Thanks for the heads up though!
Call and see if they'll hold it... Some lady called in and was freaking out and they held one for her... I ran into her when I went back to get the 2nd one...
Walmarts in Fl Panhandle Area All recieved shipments of 20-25 Wii. Too bad for me that they couldn't hold me one, and I was too sick to drive. Really freakin' Sick. They are all sold out.
Damn it.
Just returned from Target (Phoenix area)... No Wii's but plenty of accessories, wiimote, classic controller, etc.
Was told they didn't get any w/shipment... no word on a Sunday sale either.
TRU had none, however, was very nice. Had no idea when shipment would be in.
Will do a bit more hunting by end of day.
as nice as it is to have a booming 2nd shipment forum, i kinda hate that it has gotten this popular because there is too much stuff to read, and the majority of it isn't very useful...
but here's what i know
http://www.ps3seeker.com/wii is telling me that in my area (Buies Creek, NC)
Walmart inventory is 3+ and next shipment is Dec 3/Dec 6
Gamestop's next shipment is Dec. 1
Best Buy inventory is 12, next shipment Dec 3
I don't know how reliable that site is. I assume they document patterns rather than calling each store, as I don't think that confirmation is even possible. Also, I don't know if "next shipment" means they will receive Wiis that day or if they will be ready to go on sale that morning.
I'm going to line up at Gamestop on Friday morning and I'll let you know if they got Wii's in or not as soon as I get back. If not, I suppose I'll line up at Best Buy on Sunday morning, which seems like the most sure-fire way to get a Wii.
Also, I went to Wal-Mart today and they had plenty of Wiimotes, Nunchucks, and Wii Points cards...
Call and see if they'll hold it... Some lady called in and was freaking out and they held one for her... I ran into her when I went back to get the 2nd one...
Not that I could get a hold of anyone there in Electronics, but the manager said they'd sold out already.
Thanks for the lead!

Damn, sorry to hear that... Good luck on your search...
Just a note for anyone thinking of posting a ps3seeker.com post about how many are around them.
There is a astrik (sp?), you know one of these: *, next to EVERYTHING. That * means that it's all speculative data. The Best Buy inventory says 12 because last week's ad said "Minimum 12 per store"
So keep that in mind before posting.
Yea, I just registered to this site because this thread seem to be VERY helpful in me trying to get a Wii. I was thinking about going to my closest Best Buy early Sunday morning, I was wondering if 5:30 will be early enough in the morning. (I live in the CA Bay area)
i dont know why anyone is lining up at gamestop when they open.... they get shipments in every day around lunchtime. call them thursday and see if they got any in, if not, wait (or call them friday morning) and just count on a friday afternoon shipment and be prepared to get there around noon.
they dont get shipments overnight and they dont hold out until the next morning to put stuff on shelves (black friday exception)
From my experience of spending at least 24 hours in lines all weekend i will give you what i found to be the usual numbers. EB games in my area Charlotte, NC only had between 3 and 6 units on black friday. Gamestop and ebgames is the worse place to wait for a wii. Your not guareenteed one and they suck at getting accessories avaliable. I waited in two lines for eb and both times i was shut down. I was 3rd or 7th in line for both times. Now i waited in line at best buy. I showed up that night at 9pm but no one was there. I went home till about 4am. came back and had 7 people in front of me. Then about 36 people lined up behind me btwn then and 9am. at 9am the best buy manager came out and handed out tickets. 36 tickets in fact. We all got one. Everyone who lined up had a ticket. We all go our wii's. In fact the employee's came in at 4am to set up a line display. The put out accessories, games, and things on the line to the registers. It was really nice. And at the end of the line was the guy giving you your wii. It was amazing seeing so many in one place. Walked up to about 1 outa 7 cashiers and bought my Wii. It was very well done, and extreamly easy. I would recomend best buy from now on. EB and gamestop should be a last resort IMO.

I don't know how reliable that site is.
thats mostly unconfirmed info on ps3seeker, it has same inventory numbers for my zip code too,
think we are all out of luck til 3rd/6th
Yesterday Tuesday was the Day for Target.
2 out of the 3 Metro Detroit Targets got Shipments on Tuesday.
The Allen Park Store, got 20 in by UPS at Noon yesterday. Sold out by 2pm. But had a nunchuck controller that I scooped.
The Target in Taylor, did not receive a shipment.
The Woodhaven Store, received a shipment between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday. At 5pm, there were still 2 consoles on the floor ( 1 after I grabbed the closest associate and told them it is MINE!!) They received their order from Fed Ex. And they had 3 wiimotes also. The Associate that helped me said in a hushed tone that they had some more consoles in the back but that they were holding them.
I wanted to thank everyone, for their help in locating my wii. There is alot of good information here. Monday, I spoke to a friend @ EB and he was on the phone with the local DC. The Distribution Center was dry, and they expected shipment to the stores in a week. So EB/Gamestop should be Monday or Tuesday next week.
And on another note the Target Electronics people were awesome, They were very open and gave me more information than anyone else. TRU employees were 2nd in that category doing very well to explain their shipment situations.
So Kudos and Good Luck finding a wii.
Tonight I try the Madden
Detroiter
Yeah id have to say i agree the only way you're getting a Wii before the 3rd or 6th is if you get lucky at Toys R Us or an EB/Gamestop
Alright, I was last at Toys R Us at 10:45. The guy gave me their direct line and said they get their DHL shipment in between 12-2pm. So I go home and get ready for class. At 11:45, I called Toys R Us and asked if they had any in, and NO was the reply. So I go to class and at 12:48 I called and they said, we got six in and they just sold out.
However, they did have several Wimotes & Nunchucks & Classic Controllers. Woopee. Now I have 3 controllers and 3 nunchucks and a classic controller and nothing to play them on. By the way, Toys r Us was the ONLY store with any controllers for sale of the 9 stores I checked.
Where are the moderators with the hot scoops? This thread is easily one of the most popular on Wiiloaded.
I have logged more man hours into finding one of these things than I care to divulge. I have been unlucky and unaware and uninformed, and I am becoming unapproachable.
Gamestop in the mall had none, but those bastards are lying and I can tell every time I talk to them. They're probably saving some for their friends or the "super hardcore gamers". Target has none and too many people there are clueless to what's going on. The Wii could be a pet rock for all some of those workers know.
Walmart, ah, I hate that place and everything it stands for. Like a complete sellout, I went there to see wassup & get some info. They are holding Wiis until Sunday, 12:01 am. Two workers told me they are doing this because Nintendo is telling them to do it. So there you go. I haven't heard that one before.
Most of the Targets who deny having any and Best Buy are holding their Wii's till Sunday also as far as the Targets concerned you'll just have to check the weekly ad
I live in southern New York near the city
Eb Games said they will know of future shipments on thur/fri but they might get in a shipment. I was told to call again on Friday at 12:00-1:00
My Target, Walmart and Best Buy all told me sunday.
Did anyone else notice a change in shipment number for walmart for sunday in their area?
Well i've heard the 1st/3rd/6th on WalMarts just depends on what area you go to im guessing
Definitely check Targets @ noon... Actually try your best to be @ Target by noon... I got @ Target today right @ 12:00 and there was a lady already buying one and like every damn accessory & game available...
Walmart is a good bet for 12/3 12AM or 12/6 12AM...
