@Haruka: I'm pretty sure that it's one per customer.
Yeah so it seems that the lines will be intense again considering this many people still are "wii-less". Thats okay with me, Im still trying to help raise a few dollars for my friend before this weekend!
Yea, i probably should just go buy a sleeping bag and camp out sat night to ensure great success sunday!
GREAT SUCCESS
HIGH FIVE
now... me and wii, we make eh sexytime, no?
I've always heard of people actually sleeping there, but wouldn't that result in you losing your place in line if you were to oversleep or some other tragedy like that? Thats why I am OD'ing on energy drinks and sittin this one out.
I stood in line for 4 HOURS last Sunday at my Best Buy to get a Wii and I was #50 in about 80. The Best Buy only had 46 units in stock. A lady was trying to scalp her voucher but I didn't know you needed a voucher to buy the stupid console. It seems almost stupid to give out vouchers an hour before a store opens anyways since those people can just wait another freaking hour for them.
So that whole 12 Wii minimum ad by Best Buy really just depends on location. They probably just put that disclaimer there to cover their own butts.
I've completely lost hope of getting one before sunday (though I'll still check all gamestop/ebgames before work tommorow and on Friday). I got 2 friends willing to camp out at target/best buy/walmart and we will bring chairs and food and will probably head out at around 10pm Saturday (incase there is a line at the 24 hour walmart). I underestimated getting a Wii last weekend. This weekend however I'm putting out all stops.

I second that, brother. I know how you feel. 10PM Saturday for me as well.

I camped out last sunday, and unless u usually sleep on freezing cold concrete u will most likely be up all night. Bring hw or books or something fun to do! But its a fun experience! Def worth doing once!
As of now this is what i know
Gamestop/EBGames - Friday (12/1)
Target/Best Buy - Sunday (12/3)
Walmart - Sunday (12/3) in certain areas, Wednesday (12/6) for majority of Walmarts

HAHAAHAHA good point
. I never thought of it that way. Yeah I am sooo looking forward to it
Some words to the wise,
Camping out WILL NOT be neccisary. However, it is a solid way to insure that you get your console. An early morning start (430 at the latest), will almost definitely get you your console. Camping out is a fun experience, and I hope all of you that do it both enjoy it, and get your wii.
My friend showed up at five last week (sunday at bestbuy) and got a console (10 out of 40 something), do you think I could show up at the same time?
I think I should be fine, unless they for some reason have about 3 consoles...then I would die...
(by the way, only one per customer but I arranged a friend to drive me and stay there early)

You should be ok , but you never know if more people are out looking.
ALSO I HAVE WII REMOTES FOR SALE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED!

So you don't have to baby-sit? I hope you get your Wii with weekend like I hope I get mine. I gave in and bought Zelda for Wii, reading the manual makes me want it THAT MUCH MORE! I'm disappointed that there is no map of Hyrule in the instruction booklet. Anyone know if there is a map of Hyrule in TP floating around the net?
My sister decided to go to a friend's house *internal Haruka* (SCORE!!!!!!)
Yea, I got out of it. Friday night I gotta babysit, but once it hits saturday afternoon I'm outta there and to a friend's house. There I will spend the night and leave in the morning (around 4:30, so it sounds like a good plan to me

)
My friend bought TP too before the console. He was freaking out, then realized that he didn't have a Wii to experience it O_O' So my quest is to get my Wii on sunday!!! (preferably friday...if it gets to eb....and if I call in time....and if I get a ride...)
One last note, I tried to find another site with this kind of information and helpfulness to cross reference our sources. Couldn't find something like us anywhere. We are the greatest Wii information site on the net and I believe it. This is my last post for tonight
Wii are the Champions, (such a bad pun XD)

Yay! My plan was to go to Target first (opens at 8:00 A.M.) then Toys 'R' Us (opens at 9:00 A.M.), but I guess I'll go to Circuit City rather than Toys 'R' Us, considering they both open at the same time and are right next to each other.
just wanted to thank you guys once again this is mos def the best site online to find info on the wii shipments and its all thanks to all you guys your amazing and because of you i will most likely be getting my wii this weekend so once again thank you all
much love, Angel
ITS BEEN CONFIRMED:
I talked to service reps at two separate targets, and all national Targets have been ordered by corporate to hold all Wii consoles until Sunday.
That doesn't seem to be true in my area. I went to a Target today, and was told another store had 15 in stock of 57 they had received. I made my way there immediately but missed the last one by about 10 mins.
Also, talked to a guy at TRU today that said they were holding there's for opening Sunday, so it appears at least one more store is doing the Best Buy method.
^some targets have already sold some wii's but are holding the rest of til sunday....
i'll be making my usual calls tomorrow morning/lunch, but i expect the usual "no"
On saturday i'll be calling Target, Best Buy, and Circuit City and asking if they will have Wii's for sale sunday at opening, and the one that gives me the most definitive answer - my friend and i will be going to at 3am.
Really wish i could find one before Sunday though because i work 12pm-5pm sunday. But i'll be sleeping all Saturday hopefully to get ready lol
That sounds like a very good idea, I will also be calling around seeing if they will have them for sale the next day on Sat. night.
Crawl, I heard the same you did, the lady said we have them in stock here and at the other store, but all stores were told to hold them back. (Like 1PM yesterday she told me this).
Circuit City is a waste, don't even bother. They told me (several locations), that they won't get any more until after the holidays.
Getting there by 5:00 AM should be early enough to snatch a Wii.
