Just called my local Target who confirmed they had Wiis in stock but were holding them until Sunday.
Sunday plans have changed from Best Buy to Target for me.
Also, has anyone noticed that Wii is spelled incorrectly by the spellchecker?
I'm having a heckuva time getting any stores to commit to having/storing Wii's.
Wal-Mart is the only store that told me they were selling at 8am on 12/6 (this IS a 24hr location, btw).
Target says they know nothing, and Circuit City said they're expecting a shipment on Sunday, but they're not sure when or how many.
Best Buy haven't even answered the phone yet... it's always hard to get thru to my local BB.
Yeah, my 24 hr WalMart isnt putting them on sale till 8AM either i was told by one a few miles away they would have them at 12:01 AM but my local WalMart has signs all over the store saying "Wii's will be sold Dec. 6th at 8:00 AM"
For some reason, the shipment info here simply isn't corresponding with what I'm hearing over the phone. Circuit City is saying none till Christmas, GameStop is saying middle of next week (even though supposedly they ship tomorrow), etc. I live in Columbia MD BTW.

A hot tip from where I just picked up our PS3 60g... they say their Gamestop stores in the Parkway Plaza Mall in San Diego will get a "large" shipment of Wiis .. soon!

Yeah im going to try EB/Gamestop tomorrow around noon time when they usually get their UPS stuff and if they dont have any im just packing it in and taking it easy Saturday and then going somewhere very early Sunday morning

although, im torn about whether i should go to target, best buy, or circuit city....
i guess i can call them all saturday and ask to speak to a manager and try and get something definitive.

gamestop having them tomorrow is just speculation, but they are supposed to have shipments in soon.

looks like EB/GS are the hot ticket till the weekend. I'm a bit trepidacious as all the eb/gs folk around here have been quite less then helpful when i've called or stopped in. I hope they'll be receiving systems tonight/tomorrow although they're all denying knowledge.
