gamestop overnight?

ive never heard of such things.

That does happen frequently to my GameStop. They get shipments 90% after they closed, and when I'm in that general area I see them stocking things.

With pretty much everyone releasing Wiis on Sunday I think the Ebayers are going to be crying come next week.
One woman at Target told me she was getting in Wiis tomorrow some time and to check in the morning and at noon. She was unaware of any policy holding Wiis for Sunday, so I am going to hit Target at 8 and then go to a few Gamestops in the morning. I've heard conflicting information from EB to EB, but one sounded confident they had a shipment coming in tomorrow.

eh. guess i better call gamestop a few min. before they open tomorrow just to be sure. the lady on the phone today was acting really sketchy too. she said she had no idea if theyd have any in the morning, so i asked "well, you didnt get any today?" she replied, "no, if we had we'd have sold them..." so i was like... umm.... how could you possibly have some in the morning then?

then i came on here. OVERNIGHT. didnt know gamestop did it. we will see...

going to check target at 8am opening tomorrow, acouple targets actually

Thank you, thank you everybody. Echoing the thoughts of others that this thread has provided footing in my quest to attain the most forward-thinking system; I've read completely the 442 posts so don't think your contributions have gone un-read by me.

I waited 36hrs at BB for PS3 launch with only intent to sell, because, well people are willing to pay and I desperately need to put myself through school, with no luck however as I was 29 of the 26. I thought that was the future (and desperately desired a PS3) until I played Red Steel on Wii at a party from 1:30am-4:00am (SOLID) Sat. night (yeah I know, WHY wasn't I in-line waiting somewhere for purchase Sunday instead?).

I'm fairly close to you in Casselberry FL. My plan pretty much shadows yours for Sun. Tomorrow though (Fri), I'm hitting up 2 Targets, hopefully 1 TRU, and 1 Gamestop before work @ 10:00am (yeah, I'll be a little late but the Gamestop is close so..) 1st to see if they're putting anything out or have recieved anything, and 2nd to get a feel on what might be coming in around lunch time . I have 1 of each store within a "Lunch" time drive, and should be able to plan a pretty efficient "run-by" instead of eating based on information gathered in the morning. I'm not counting on any of that but will hopefully be able to make my BB/Target decision for Sunday. Should provide for decent reporting back anyways based on what Target says about Sunday.

Oh well, it's 4:22am and I could've read a short story by now. Best of luck and THANK YOU to everybody, never thought I was going to find this kind of resource.

According to my Gamestop they didnt get any in overnight but he said to check back around 1 because they might have some then. The EB a few miles away said they had no idea when they were going to get some.

I'm taking an early lunch to head over to my EB Games at about 11:00. The guy yesterday said that he had been hearing the rumors himself, but he honestly didn't know of any shipments coming in. However, he told me that the UPS guy is there at 11:30 almost like clockwork. I figure I'll show up a few minutes early, play the on-display Wii until he shows up, then hopefully walk away with a Wii

Ok, so checked my Target this morning. Said they had none. Went over the price scanner, typed in the code, and they HAVE them in stock! So went to talk to a manager, who went on to tell me that they are not being released until Sunday.

I called a local Gamestop and the guy had already fielded 3 of our phone calls . He'd just walked in and he said there was already a line outside his door and he didn't know why since he didn't have any yet. He said to try back after a while.

Hmm... interesting...
So I just called this Gamestop:

And he told me they didn't have any and that this week is Japan's launch so all of them are being allocated for Japan...

Don't know if he was lying or not... but I'll just go on and sigh some more... lol

But the Wii's are region encoded... They couldn't give US Wii's to the Japanese.

Walmart's online version of their weekly ad has been updated for December 3rd-9th. The Wii is on the third page in my local store's version, with a date of "Available 12/6" minimum 3 per store.

Try yours and post if it says anything different. The locations I tested were 55350 and 55076 both in MN (about 70 miles apart, I travel between them often)

Best Buy's Sunday ad is also up. 12 min per store

according to the dates, that is last week's Best Buy ad. Best Buy ad doesnt normally go online until around midnight till 2 the saturday before. i used to work there

Anybody have any luck w/Target's ad? It's telling me they don't have an ad at the moment.

Cicuit City has an ad up, but I think it's still last week's... No Wii listed

Targets wont go up untill like midnight Saturday probably just like Best Buys, atleast the old one is still up on the website anyway
