Probably late Saturday night, like you might be able to pick one up just before its time to line up, i saw somebody who worked at Best Buy before say it comes out between 12-2 AM Sunday morning, the good thing i guess is that you can view it at their website

Congratulations to everyone who got a Wii today at EBGames/Gamestop. I unfortunately struck out, but some people have had varied success. For those of us still without a Wii, we have a big weekend coming up, and a very good chance to score a Wii.
First, we have four stores listed to have large numbers of Wii consoles in stock on Sunday:
Target
Best Buy
Circuit City
Toys R' Us
I've got a few tips to help everyone out.
Check your Saturday paper ads first to confirm which of these stores in your location will have the Wii. (It sometimes varies from location to location).
Get there early, but do not go nuts. An early start is neccisary, people will be lining up, and in most locations, by the time the store opens, the whole line will occupy the entire store's allotment of consoles. Camping out is not neccisary. This may be at the first release of a new console, but given the amount of Wii consoles shipped, and that it's the 3rd large round, this means most of the people that go over the top already have it. Now it's mostly gaming fans, or people getting it as a gift for someone, so they won't go as far to camp out. If a store is getting around 50 units, a 5 o'clock arrival should get it for you. (4 AM seals the deal), given certain locations where there may be an exception to that rule. (Find out and know who you are). If you want to camp out, go right ahead. It can be fun, and it will secure you a Wii.
Know the store. Know the system, wether they will take names, give vouchers, or just open the doors. Know what they will do, and know how you have to get the system. Know the right department of the store, waiting in a long line to make a mistake and not get the console will have you kicking yourself for years to come.
I will get an update on more info later tomorrow.

wow
my friend who basically got his spot at EB because i told him to go to work early and swing by, who told me they ended up not having any Wii's.....just gets home from work, sends me a suspcious zip file. I open it up and it's a bunch of pictures of him with the Wii in hand and zelda and a jackass smirk on his face. wow.
I don't think i've ever been more pissed off at a friend then i am now. It's not only the fact that the only reason he got one was because of me, which he won't even admit, but the fact he lied to me about it and had the nerve to think it would be funny to send a bunch of pictures of him with the Wii that he wouldn't even have it wasn't for me being a good friend and waking him up to tell him.
Really puts a damper on my day that was already a crappy day.

Just keep thinking, 1 more day 1 more day then tomorrow night you can head to Target or Best Buy or wherever and you can finally get that pot of gold.

I know its a good thought, right now am calling all the friends setting up supplies and what not for an all-nighter tomorrow. the only thing left is making sure best buy has them!

I'm even losing faith that i'll get on Target. I've learned nothing is set in stone. The lady basically told me to come back sunday and i'll score one, but knowing my luck some crap will happen to break those plans.

I don't know about other areas, but I'm going to my local Toys 'R' Us Saturday night. My friend's mom talked to the manager, and he said they already have 36 in the stockroom waiting to be sold on Sunday. I'm not sure if they will hand out wristbands, but I'm tired of waiting for the chance to just "stroll in and grab one." That's why I'm going 10 hours in advance.

Hi. Does anyone know anything about NYC? I am in the Bronx and I have a Target about 5 minutes away (driving). Would that be my best bet. Any ideas.

Sounds like most of us had a bad Wii day...
It really seems like the employees of these stores are getting tired of us, hahaha.
Here's to a fruitful Wii-kend for us all.
G'luck everybody

Yeah I have friends coming over tomorrow, and everything else is worked out EXCEPT the most important thing of all:
WHO IS GOING TO HAVE ANY?
I have all the available stores like:
Best Buy
Target
Wal Mart
Circuit City
Toys r Us
I just don't know who will have them for sure. I really would love it if Best Buy got theirs in, that would make everything awesome. I just don't know though, and I dont know of a way to find out!
About the others..I don't know either. I am going to call all of those places and find out tomorrow.

You can probably rule out WalMart most of them are holding off till the 6th it appears, you can check your local WalMarts weekly ad at http://www.walmart.com and see what it says about Wii's

ive been thinking about this whole sunday morning thing... and which store to go to, so here
I went to target and the guy was telling everyone "come back sunday" or "sunday people, we'll have them sunday"
this is a sign that you may not want to go to target if theyre telling everyone that.
on the other hand, i went to toys r us and had to basically tell the guy, "look, i know youve got them, how many will there be on sunday?" after which he told me to keep it quiet that i know this much.
GO TO PLACES WHERE YOU HAVE TO FISH FOR INFO, THE LINE WILL BE SHORTER, PLACES THAT OPENLY ADVERTISE THAT THEYLL BE ON SALE IN THE MORNING WILL BE BOOMING, I CAN ASSURE YOU

Yeah, my target wasnt like that, the guy was very secretive about it and he quickly said afterwards not to talk to about it, they didnt want people camping out. I would so go to Toys R Us if they would even give a little bit of info but my Toys R Us said they dont expect any till next week so who knows
