This'll be my last post of the evening... er, night.

I hope that CC info is correct... all locs by me are getting 21 if accurate.

I guess tomorrow'll be full of some more retail store harassment via telephone... see if i can't scrounge up any info for the Sunday re-wii-launch.

G'nite everybody... and thanks for keeping this thread as hopping w/info as it's been
I registered solely to thank the people on this thread - I had been trying this entire week at a local Gamestop and was about to give up and wait for Sunday, but thought I'd check out the speculated Friday shipment. I walk in, ask for a Wii, and get handed one, along with an extra remote to boot.

I realize most people are already looking past that and onto Sunday, but for future reference: Gamestop employees, even when they are sitting with Wiis IN THEIR HANDS, will NOT tell you they have them over the phone. The one I picked up was there for over an hour because nobody actually went into the store and looked, they just called and asked. So, if for whatever reason Sunday is a bust (which it sounds like it shouldn't be), keep that in mind.

For Sunday, my plans were to hit Circuit City, which as mentioned earlier tonight has confirmed launches for Sunday. Speaking to a manager in a store near Long Beach, he assured me that he would have "lots" and a line would be fairly certain. Check with your location Saturday night - the CC near Long Beach messed up and sold half their stock before receiving the hold order from corporate HQ, so the previously mentioned allocations may be off.

Another note: While making in-store rounds Thursday night, neither Best Buy I went to knew anything about Wiis for Sunday. One guy was your typical regular blueshirt employee, but I also spoke to a manager who was also unaware. His words of advice were to find the ad as soon as possible Saturday night/Sunday morning, and line up ONLY if the Wii was advertised with minimum stock. Otherwise, you'd be a very disappointed camper.

Again, thank you all for your consistent updates and input. I hope this Sunday works out well for all of you and for those in the Long Beach, CA area, at least you know now there will be at least one less dude in front of you!
I just called my Target. The lady on the phone said they haven't recieved any shipments for sunday yet. I hope she was lying, but I've been calling my target everyday and evrytime they say they don't have it. I will be really upset if I don't get a Wii tomm despite waking up early to get one. Does anyone else have any news on NYC getting wiis.
I recieved Sunday fliers in my paper today.  I get them on Saturday due to a computer problem at the newspaper.

Any way - I'm in NH.

Target (page 14) - advertises Wii (no minimums listed)
Circuit City (page 45) - Advertises 15 minimum per store
Wal-Mart (page 3) - lists 3 minimum per store
Toys R Us (page 23) - lists a package of Wii, Marvel Alliance & a slip cover for $289.  Again no minimums listed.
Best Buy - it didn't come in today's paper.

So, unless you know for sure Target or Toys R Us will have some, you're better off going where there is a gaurenteed minimum.
Holy mother. I finally can feel some confirmation. I am not so sure about Best Buy, but I just asked Target and they Lady kindly told me they would be getting a fresh new shipment for tomorrow!

Aweosme!
Just confirming what was written before with the adds. I got the same information for Southern New York

I called the local Best Buy and when I asked about sunday she said she didn't know where I heard that but they had no idea about next shipments

I called Circuit City as well. All they said was that they will receive a shipment before Christmas but they don't know when

Target was the only one that confirmed for me
Haruka, which Target confirmed it for you please. Thanks. I am in the Bronx.
I looked in the Wal-Mart, Future Shop and Zellers flyers, no Wii advertizment, just games, then I looked on the future shop website for my area to see if the Wii was in-stock, and instead of it saying it was out of stock, it said it wasen't available in my area, wtf?
Well, after calling around and whatnot, I've found that in my area my stores have as follows:
Target: 50
Target: 31
Circuit City: 30
Best Buy: 63
Toys R' Us: ???

I plan on going one place, and a relative going another. Probably one at Target (50), the other at Best Buy. I think 3:30-4 AM should be enough. Any earlier is just not worth it for me. (I can wait a week or two more if I have to).
My Circuit City is getting 30 tomorrow (store said "about 30", and the leaked info says 30 Wiis), and my Toys R Us is getting at least 24. However, since the earliest we can be at TRU is 9:30, and since TRU opens at 9, my Wii schedule tomorrow has to consist of only this:

1. Circuit City by 9:30

I called Target today, and they put me on hold for 15 minutes (they would have for more if I hadn't hung up after 15 minutes) when transfering me to Electronics. Target is going off my list.

My local Best Buy has added an option to their automated message; "For an update on Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii availibility, press 8". However, pressing 8 just repeats the options. They didn't even bother to take out the automated message at the end that says "To repeat these options, press 8.".

Wal-Mart is getting them on the 6th here as well.

The Circuit City people say there's a good chance of a line, but the earliest I can get there is 9:30 (my parents are driving me there, since I'm quite far away in age from 16 =P). I hope I still have a chance of getting a Wii.
If your Circuit City opens at 10, and they have only 30 Wiis, I'd say your chances are mixed in getting one, with a slight edge to not getting it. 30 could be sold in the line as early as two hours before store opening. Give it a shot, it's well worth it, and since several locations are going to have them, the people could be spread out, and you may be able to snatch one. Also, many people got their Wiis over the last two weeks as well, that helps thin out lines.
Sounds like its gonna be a mess this sunday, i would suggest if you are planning to get one is to wait in 1 line for 2-3 hrs or more. If you try to hit all 3 in a row odds are there may be a line at everyone!

Getting in line super early basically gaurantees you one, provided the store confirms they have them!

Good luck in the chaos of tomorrow morning. Im sleeping outside the circuit city that confirmed having one. Even if there is not line and im the first i wont be worrying about it come tomorrow morning!

i have choice between circuit city w/ comp USA, and target walking distance
(circuit city guy said it was confirmed they will have wii's)
i saw a UPS track loading stuff on my way out today

or

circuit city, best buy 2 mi within each other
(filipino lady yapped her mouth off that WII's SUNDAY!!!)

or

target a block from my house (most unorganized piece of s*** target)

anneadrew,

If driving/riding to the location is not an issue, I would pick your first option, as the target and circuit city have different opening times, whereas circuit city and best buy both open at 10 (at least here they do, it might be different where you live).

Me, my mom, and my friend are going to Circuit City tonight at midnight and were waiting all through the night.

I am getting one for myself, my friend is buying one for my other friend who couldn't go, and then my mom is getting one so she can sell it on ebay. So were all going to have lots of fun!

MAKE LOTS OF LINES SO I CAN MAKE YOU ENVIOUS THAT IM 1ST IN LINE!

JK have a great time everybody. these forums have been wonderful to me, and the guy that posted teh CC information pretty much saved me life.

Alright I will probably post later on tonight before I leave, and while I'm there since I am going to be bringing my labtop!
Lines will form, but if you get there ~3 hours early, you'll have no troubble getting one. Very few people will camp out. Many people will arrive in the 5 o clock hour, so get there around 4. As I also said, due to all the supplies, the people will be spread out.

I will be going one place at 330 tomorrow, and a relative go another place 330 tomorrow morning as well. We'll see how that goes, and hopefully I'll get my Wii.

Hell yeah man. Me and you are doing the same thing. We will have the privelidge of being first in line Smile

@ssb33

It is probably a bit of a drive for you
I live in Westchester (Ossining if you know the area)

At ps3seeker.com/wii search for the MtKisco Target.
i wish my stores would actually give me a guarantee or a # or something

all my stores in my city are useless when it comes to info. i'm basically putting all my eggs in one basket by hoping the Super Target, who told me to come back sunday, has one...but it's not like they told me they had them already or if they were hoping for a shipment saturday or something....so it's just a gamble.

Really annoying because if i waste my entire 8 hours and entire night out at the Target, for no Wii and no sleep (i work sunday) i will be so pissed you won't understand.
I can't get a guarantee locally either... for tomorrow, anyway.

Wal-Mart stands by Wed 12/6 at 8am
So, i guess if tomorrow's a flop... which part of me thinks it will be... at least, i can wake up super early on Wed and hopefully grab one then
Just so everyone knows, if you call your local Toys "R" Us asking how many Wii's they will have for Sunday, they are most likely being told to say, "I don't know." My friend's mom spoke with the regional manager of them and she confirmed that most of the Toys "R" Us' will have over 36 Wii's for Sunday. They aren't announcing it, because they are trying to make it so people can just walk in and buy one on Sunday. I'm not sure why, but that's the truth.
