Target == success!

Valparaiso, IN (pop. 25,000-ish?)
11 Wiis
3 Wiimotes
0 Nunchuks
pretty good stocking of all games

Thanks for this thread, guys. I'm in a smaller city in Indiana, so no huge lines like others have mentioned. I went there about 6 AM, and nobody was there yet. So, I went to McDonald's, got breakfast, and returned. A little before 6:30, there were two moms there already. I got out and arrived the same time as another. She was kinda snappy, so I relinquished my obvious third spot and took fourth. An hour later at 7:30 (granted, it was in the single digits ºF here), they handed out numbers as the line grew to around 10. Got back in car (THANK GOODNESS!) and waited. Ten or more showed up later, but us first ten had numbers. All in all, success! They even had 3 PS3s and one guys bought both that and a Wii.
i went to best buy this morning... no wii's...
went to target in the morning, they only have six wiis. then moved on to circuit city. i waited 2 hours until one of the worker came out said they have 15 for the whole week. and they only have 1 in stock, so the remain 14 will go out day by day through out the week. there were good 40 people inline, a lot of unhappy people
I GOT MY WII!!!!!!!!!!!
I got a hunch last night around 9:30 PM, that I should go and tough out the night. Turns out, there were already 5 people in front of me. A guy with a list was there, he said they have 51 in stock for 8AM. I signed the list as number 6 and I got my Wii!!

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED. Congrats to all who got their Wiis. For those who didn't we're (at least I am), still interested in helping those who didn't get it (I know how it feels to not get it), so I am commited to maintaining this thread at least through the holidays.

Cheers,
SC7
Thanks guys for all your help. I got me a Wii!!!! My friend sat Target were the first 3 and were holding one of their tickets for me! That location had 27. I did check our TRU this moring at about 7 and only 5 people were in line. They had 21 to give away as they allowed the managers to each get one. Our Circuit City only had 15 to sell so I wonder if they gave some of the 24 the posting said they had to others. They did take the names in the order the folks were in line and said they would call them to come pick up a Wii as soon as they come in.One guy in the TRU line said the Target ( different one from above) got 200. His girlfriend was unloading the truck last night. Yet one of my friends stopped by there and they said they only had 20. I feel bad for all the folks that were in that line as it was huge. That is one bummer of tale if people were going there because of what he was saying.

Good luck fellow seekers. It has been Wiily fun!
Huh, lucky guys, while you are all getting your Wii's, I have to wait till Christmas, and I don't even know when my stores are getting shipments, or even shipments to Canada!
Yea, people in my area must be crazy, by 12:00, there were already close to 20 people there. After getting it, I drove by my CC, there were 60 people, they only had 30, and TRU had 100 people, with only 24 consoles. I am so glad I went to Target, and early.

It seems Wiimotes and nunchucks are too a problem, I can't find them. I can wait a while for those though. :p
I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and the only Wii related things there were games, I don't even think TP was there, but it may have been, not sure.

Games are in plenty supply everwhere I go, TP and everything.

Got ours this morning at TRU. Hubby headed out last night at 11pm, was 18th in line! They had 27 total. He said there were alot of ticked off people this morning who didn't get one.

My boys are going to be so happy Christmas morning!
I think i'll walk to Wal-Mart again today, see if they have any Wii's if they do then i'll get an idea of when they get shipments.
Got one at the Atlantic Center Brooklyn Target. Came about an hour before opening and only 5 people in line. By the time the store opened there were around 100 in line. They had a bunch. I think everyone got one. Thanks to everyone on thread for the great info. Was pretty painless in Brooklyn, we were able to wait inside, plenty of stock (systems, controllers and games) and it was generally pretty orderly.
If we had Targets in Canada I think it would be more easy to get a Wii.
I called the walmart near me and they have some but cant sell till the 6th at 8am
was not able to get one at target... Sad
I have been lurking for about a week reading the posts. I was pretty much set on BEST BUY for this morning since I have a friend that works there. He said earlier in the week to check the flyer, if the flyer has it, all I have to do is wait in line.

SO,
I got up at 3:30am, to wait on the newspaper, checked online but nothing, got the newspaper and no wii's in the flyer. Panic!Checked online and saw that TRU and CC might have some but they are farther away than the Best Buy and Target stores.
I decided to go anyways but at a later time. I got to the best buy at 8:00 and no line, looked over to target and no line. I went into target and they said that there were 18 wii's and they had a line since 6:00am. If only I had gone anyways I would have one!!!!

Oh well it looks like WALLY World is my best bet for Dec 6th. Tues night at 10:00pm for 12:01am time is my goal!!!
So is Best Buy not one of the places to check this morning?
So I checked Circuit City, and it turns out they gave vouchers at 8:00 while I arrived there at 9:30. So no Wii. Sad
target here in golden, co had 61 wii's and about 40 of us in line.....i got one, but seeing the dude walk up and get a voucher 15 min before target opened, kind of sucked.
I just came back from wii-shopping
at first me and my friend were at Toysrus
